Bypassing shadowbans

I got permad a few times on Reddit and deleting cookies/cache from settings and localstorage via console was enough to stop my new accounts from getting nuked (they'd last a day or so if I didn't). I don't have any fancy fingerprinting protection other than ublocks basic script filtering. Either you got superbanned or it's a new thing.

I’m not an expert in network security and online anonymity but couldn’t someone read through the html and JavaScript that gets sent to the browser to see if and how Reddit fingerprints users?

You can use something like Wappalyzer. Reddit uses fingerprintjs

Are you just deleting data from Reddit to do this?
I don't delete any data manually ever, I'm not at home right now so I can't check my exact settings. If you want I can send 'em to you when I get there. All I can tell you offhand is that I have my privacy settings so high that any twatter/facebook/social media links on normal forums just get blanked out by brave automatically.

Having your browser delete all cookies/logins at close is just best practices at this point already.

For browser fingerprinting, "Chameleon" for FF spoofs and changes various data about the user's OS/Browser/Monitor/Language/Timezone/etc. "Canvasblocker" prevents some API fingerprinting, but has caused me some issues with some sites.

The only winning move is not to use reddit.

Doesn't reddit also require an account?
Maybe pre-baking sleeper accounts to activate?
When a new user show up anywhere it's always going to get more scruitany.

Also call the mods gay in your user agent strings lol

Wait, have you tried unplugging your router/modem before you go to bed, and plugging it back in the in morning? Check your IP address before and after you do so to make sure they changed.

I've done that before, but it took longer than 8-12 hours. I tried it for 72 hours [the duration of my weekend vacation last summer] and when I came home from my trip, my IP address was brand new. I also disconnected the ethernet and cable jack in addition to unplugging the router, mind you.

My internet provider assigned IP addresses around midnight. You could call them and ask when they do that.

My go-to method was creating EC2 instances on Amazon's free tier (https://aws.amazon.com/free/) but Amazon's IP range does appear on spam lists so it might not be 100% fool-proof.

Else it's pay to play using residential IP addresses of which you can try 911 or run an instance on Paperspace

interestingly enough longtime proxy service 911.re has shut down after a massive data breach

software like gologin allows you to create squeaky clean chrome profiles, simulates a desktop fingerprint. It also has built-in proxy, just toggle on/off airplaine mode + 4g tethering, vpn analy rapes internet scoring
