He had blackmailed Null to take down a thread which was at the time at 13 pages. He had basically tried to throw the blood on Null's hands. The dude was clearly suffering from something very difficult in his life and thought the thread being removed would fix the issue not understanding that the thread was not the issue with his life at the time. I don't feel bad if the document is true. I don't feel that the forum was the cause of death simply because the owner wouldn't accept blackmail money.

Maybe he wanted a lot of things to go away, not just his thread? Him contacting Null is something we know about, he might have contacted others that we don't know to remove other things. Why would he specifically go after an inactive KF-thread? Maybe he tried to scrub parts of his internet presence entirely or preemptively curb discussion.

Wild wild speculation: what content/gossip/news/criminal charges about a person would make a KF thread explode(other than suicide) and possibly make the subject kill themselves? Wild, wild speculation as I said.

This was a person who by all accounts had read his thread, said "Wow, I gotta dial it back" and then vanished, only to reappear out of nowhere, holding himself hostage to get his thread deleted. People use their own death as a weapon in a last-ditch effort to get other people in trouble. We didn't tie the noose.

Ultimately it was Dave's decision to take his own life. Feeling the need to commit suicide is terrible, yes, but largely you are responsible for your own life and you shouldn't put the burden on others using emotional blackmail.
