Call of Cthulhu Forum Game: Who Wants To Die Horribly?

I'm pretty sure hp is size + con divided by 2 so since I have have 17 in both that should be 17 hp. Unless I have been doing this completely wrong the last few years.

Does anyone who expressed interest but who doesn't have a character need any help making one?
 
I'm not sure yet. Hopefully tonight I'll be able to actually sit down and do this.
 
May I make a suggestion for a character?
A dorky, weeaboo LARPer who's convinced that the whole scenario is a really in depth game of Call of Cthulu. Well, maybe not the plane crash, but some of the other stuff. He'd have a highish SAN, simply because he's so delusional that he thinks it's all a game.

I deleted this note from my OP because I thought it was unnecessary, but: the Cthulhu Mythos does not exist within the Cthulhu Mythos. He can larp a pastiche though, if he wants.

Edit: Kinda like how Romero's zombie movies never existed in the Walking Dead universe.

Also what time frame does this take place? Is it 20s or more Modern?

That's a pretty fair assumption. The modern era has a way of technologying away a lot of classic horror tropes. Hence the remote island with no cell towers or surveillance cameras.

Edit: No promises about the camera actually.

Edit Edit: If people prefer the roaring 20s I could set the game in that era without significant changes on my end. The era will primarily affect the PC backgrounds given the remote location.
 
Okay, I have some of what Dale has recovered.
His trusty Winchester Model 1897 shotgun, with shortened barrel and bayonet lug. (He was on his way to TruthCon, which is basically comic con for crazy survivalists and conspiracy cranks.) Said Winchester was stored in a hard sided gun case and checked, in accordance to all those bullshit government fascist TSA types.
Also bough along 12 gauge ammo for said shotgun. Managed to recover 47 shells.
M9 Beretta aka "Mr. Blasty", also taken in gun case. Has two magazines worth of ammo.
Bowie knife.
Bug Out Bag, with water, food, another knife, paracord, change of clothes, booze, duct tape, first aid kit, batteries, more booze, crank radio, extra tinfoil, and a flashlight.
A bunch of his crazy conspiracy pamphlets.
And a portable ham radio.

Dale is wearing a pair of camo pants, a mauve workshirt, a camo jacket, sunglasses, and a light grey bucket hat with a band of blaze orange, lined with tin foil.
 
Last call for interest? While normally I don't mind small parties in this particular interest I need a decently sized group.
 
Shoot, I'm not too late, am I? I'd love to do more CoC stuff. Call of CWC has been fun but Quote Me Now's job demands that he be gone for long periods of time. If there's still space available, put me down as a player!
 
Hypothetically if I could get enough people I'd still run it, but I don't even know if the original people who expressed interest in it still want to play. I had already written the game off as DOA but stranger things have happened.
 
I was going to sit this one out but if you guys need a forth player I could fill a slot.
 
So does that mean I can partake in this? If that would screw things up than I'll abstain.
