Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

I try to ignore it, but I thought it was really retarded how all the Soviets kept using 1911's in Cold War.

I can't remember if this was also the case in Black Ops 1 and 2.

Reactions: The Last Stand

Anybody else hated Ghosts? Me, I was/am indifferent of the title. Campaign was gray and contrived. Multiplayer was meh with occasional flair. Coop sucked.

The perk system was cool. The maps had character. Ghosts was actually balanced, if more favoring of assault rifles.

But don't worry, I'm sure allowing Sledgehammer to make yet another dumpster fire in a few years will work out better because... it just will okay?!

Either have them make a sequel to Advanced Warfare, or downgrade them to a support studio (or let them have a crack at something else once Activision becomes a part of Microsoft). After all the "creative liberties" they've taken with Vanguard, I know they can't be trusted with another historical setting (I don't even want to know how they'd tackle Vietnam).

I liked Advanced Warfare quite a bit however, and it being futuristic gives them free license to do whatever, so...

The pendulum swings back to the boomer shooter. I'm honestly surprised we haven't gotten more since the DOOM reboot did so well.
Because everyone ignored a whole lineup of arena shooters for years and now I know most boomer shooter guys want their single player power fantasy epic heavy metal super fast shit but dont say Boomer Shooters are making a comeback when they are just as bad with the suffering now.

Unreal 4 had a weird hybrid dev structure but they still tried working on it but then apparently on a whim for 2 months the Unreal 4 team made.....Fortnites BR mode and the rest is history.

Broski that’s not even vanguard that’s warzone numbers lel you think a sledgehammer game could reach 5 million?
Seems to have fed into it though. Less interest in yearly COD title = less interest in Warzone shit.

Unless something goes horribly wrong MW2 is going to do gangbusters and it'll probably rebound. Hopefully then they'll come to their senses and demote SH to a support studio.

Just act surprised if it’s good but dont have hope.

I mean I want to but can’t

you can really tell too, a good chunk of the time you can quit a match and try to search for another only for it to take the same amount of time left on the match, mind you this is happening in the early morning, so you can really feel the low player counts, you can tell they're trying to patch over that because a year ago they were having 200 player BR modes, and now they're devoting a fuck load of time on the 40-man mini-royale modes, and 24 man payload modes. even if you do get a match going in "regular" BR now theres a huge chance that 4 person squad doesn't even last to the start of the match. it gets to the point where just having 4 people in your team guarantees at least the top 5.

thats even worse even during the free weekend period, modes like champion hill are non-existent, half the time putting people in with literal bots. they literally can't find 24 people willing to play most of the time.

Vanguards new season just came out and they are marketing MW22 already. I played Vanguard a bit and wanna write a quick talk as to why Vanguard is not that popular. just have to workout then ill get to it since who cares about COD this much lol?

Spoilers aesthetics/presentation actually matter more than people think

That's not just some "gun expert", that guy is the curator for one of the largest firearms museums in the world and has written books on the subject. He's not some random guntuber with a C&R license talking about his mosin.
Oh, shit, is that the vid the one with Ferguson? I guarantee you Garand is rolling in his grave at what they did to his gun... which is more than can be said for the drum mag they slapped on it. I don't think I've ever been existentially horrified down to my very soul at something's mere existence until I heard that thing go ping.
