It's like Sledgehammer saw what DICE fucked up with Battlefield V, and made it their goal to desecrate the setting even further. If this sort of thing is what we can expect from future games set in past conflicts, then I hope we never see anything pre-Desert Storm ever again because I can't stand the thought of WWII or Vietnam getting fused into some shitty Fortnite abomination.
Heard a rumor that WaW and some other WWII COD games might get remastered like the Modern Warfare games (I wish they'd just remaster WaW and give it less stupid perks and rebalance the guns. Although an as-is remaster would be fine anyway.
Not going to lie, if they remastered WaW and BO1, I would almost definitely pick those up for just the campaigns and zombies.Heard a rumor that WaW and some other WWII COD games might get remastered like the Modern Warfare games ().
I don't care if they'd be the campaigns only, having some proper WWII shooters would be a breath of fresh air these days.
They better get that MW3 remaster finished at the least, it's so jarring to go from the first two games to the last one these days. There were rumors going around that they were working on MW2 multiplayer and MW3 campaign remasters, but Activision shelved them because they're retarded. Hopefully Microsoft will revive them at some point.
A WAW remaster would be cool because it's probably the only way we're getting a "new" WW2 COD that isn't a complete shitshow at this point.
Why would they make multi-player remasters if MW2019 existed? That would've split the player base. It would've made sense to remaster the MAPS for MW2019 and support that as a live service. There were rumors going around that they were working on MW2 multiplayer and MW3 campaign remasters, but Activision shelved them because they're retarded. I mean, the original modern warfare remaster had the MP remastered as well, so it's not impossible, just improbable. Why would they make multi-player remasters if MW2019 existed? I doubt they'll remaster WaW given how gruesome that campaign was.
True, but that remaster was chained with Infinite Warfare. AND sold DLC on top of it.I mean, the original modern warfare remaster had the MP remastered as well, so it's not impossible, just improbable.
Speaking of, the 15th of this month, we have a huge stream about call of duty, warzone and the future.
It was a remaster with a specific loot box business model added to it. It also didn't have a dedicated server browser like the original had for PC. It also added player customization.I mean, the original modern warfare remaster had the MP remastered as well, so it's not impossible, just improbable.

CoD still has campaigns? Is it still the same "walk through an exploding setpiece while the game plays itself" experience? It looks like a bit of the campaign was leaked.
Yeah unless they kept the gore it just wouldn't be WaW.I doubt they'll remaster WaW given how gruesome that campaign was.
WaW was more raw with its WW2 material, particularly with its racial depictions of the Japanese. Why are you guys concerned about the gore? Both COD WWII and Vanguard had their fair share of gory moments (Vanguard in particular can be very gory in its multiplayer), so I doubt WaW would be forced to tone it down or have it be the reason for not getting remastered. Of course, there's no rhyme or reason for Modern Warfare 3 to not get remastered yet, so who knows with Activision or Microsoft.
While I liked Black Ops 2, the overall experience dragged on. Multi-player was solid, campaign was okay, Zombies was a slog. The last good CoD game was Black Ops 2, its amazing how these games were literally never able to build off eachother, even the ones made by the same company, BLOPs 2 had customisable loadouts and multiple endings with a somewhat branching story, World at War had coop campaign, to my knowledge these haven't been in any games since.
