Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

Can I ask why everytime I play a CoD with custom emblems, I see either a swastika or T&A?

And I'm not accepting the excuse that "it's a WW2 game!"

This. Just because it's a WW2 game doesn't mean it should've given a free pass because it is one. It's completely useless (let alone inaccurate) bullshit.
Don't forget the politically charged created emblems as well. It's plain childish,

Also, there are no swastikas in multiplayer because it's localized into international markets.

This is *any* game with custom images/creations.

The reason why you see this is because they can. Same reason you're going to see Hitler and Chris Benoit created characters in WWE games and Hentai paint jobs in racing games.

This may be autistic, but it really steams my hams how the Cartel/Sicario skins are on the "good guy" side. What makes it even more retarded is that they put these characters with Valeria (head of the Cartel) in the promotional material even though they can never actually fight together in game.

I mean everyone knows that the factions have been an after thought going all the way back to Cold War (they didn't even have them in Vanguard, right?) but it just really goes to show how much of a thoughtless, corporate thing this all is when nobody can seem to get anything right between the games, writing and promotional material.

Guess I should just be happy that this season at least had a proper cinematic instead of generic ass trailers featuring characters that have absolutely no character or bearing on what's going on.

what really tickles my autism is they didn't just shoot the obvious plain as day fucking cartel leader in the face instead of humoring her not so different bullshit

The entire campaign was fucking stupid, but there was no way they were going to kill off Cartel mommy when they can get those sweet sweet gen Z simp bucks

Call of Duty has practically turned into a MCU theme park with cosmetics. Remember when selling skins in Ghosts seemed like nickel and diming players?

she's ugly, she has no titties, and she's a bitch
put a bullet in her head and leave her for the vultures
Yeah, I've already seen guys start simping for the other chick in the battlepass cause they made her tits look huge.

Normally I'd call someone a faggot for claiming a camo is a rip off of MGS3, but god damn this seems like a straight up great value Naked Snake outfit with the kneepad placement and under suit.

I think Black Ops is my favorite Call of Duty of all time. I loved the multiplayer, and Grid is still my favorite Call of Duty multiplayer map ever. I especially loved the game’s campaign. Every once in a while I’ll get an itch to replay it again. With the setting, and the tone of the Vietnam/Cold-War government black ink stuff, it really felt like a secret war, and I think executed the history mixed with the fiction well and handled the seriousness way better than that piss-poor excuse Cold War did where it tried to be ‘secret government black operations woaaaaah’ way too hard despite all the stupid retconning and shitty current year additions (genderfluid CIA operator in the 80s lol). Black Ops was memorable, had a great soundtrack, had a great cast (Gary Oldman as Reznov and Clarke? I mean COME ON!!!), the intel was fun to read through, and was all around badass. WMD is the best CoD mission ever made. Snow missions are cool, and so are stealth missions. So a twofer there is a good recipe. Also the fucking intro kicks ass. SR-71 my beloved…

However even though the game is fantastic the anachronisms that are in the entire game still bug me…

Also I hate the fucking obnoxious ‘operator’ skins that nu-CoD does where it’s extremely fucking difficult to discern who’s friend or foe when every fucking operator has to be as overly-designed and crazy looking as possible so people buy them. The multiplayer factions are made up bullshit that tries way too hard to not step on any toes so the whole game boils down to “us vs them” with teams full of special forces larpers who have no sense of uniformity. I missed when you played as the average soldier in multiplayer and had a bunch of unique factions that fit the setting in each map with easily identifiable player models that had enough variety either depending on their weapon choices or perks.

I miss how killstreaks would "stack" even after death. Example: in MW2, you could have a UAV, die, obtain another UAV, and have two UAVs if you saved the previous one. I think that stayed until MW3.
I've always prefered the scorestreaks, it gave me the feeling of actually contributing to the objective.

I just make a Moon Man.
Damn I miss custom emblems. Now you're forced to see the cause-of-the-month emblems everywhere.
