Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

She was born on February 14th (Valentine's Day), but depending which era actually. In the original CORE games from mid-90s through early-2000s, she was born in late-60s. In the Anniversary trilogy, she was born between 1970 to 1975.
So, technically she's in her 40s-50s? Which version of Lara Croft are they selling?

I'm pretty sure they're selling both versions (though between you and me, I'll always prefer the classic ones over the reboot trilogy). Still, having her in CoD is a bad idea

I could never understand paying $20 for a character skin and a couple weapons when I can use that money to buy a whole game.

Admittedly, I'd be a LITTLE tempted since Lara Croft is ... old.

It's best that we don't spend $20 on it and move on from something else

I said before, Call of Duty has turned into a theme park. I thought CoD jumped the shark with Black Ops 2's $2.99 camos. Little did I know that it would get much zanier.

It's like with most other studio-mandated games and even studio-mandated movies. They try too hard to be like rollercoaster rides, but forget about the concept of either mediums. Games nowadays like too much like movies and movies act more like infomercials to products that never happened.

I imagine that historians would wince every time a mainstream WW2 video game comes out.

I can forgive the many inaccuracies most WW2 games would have for storytelling and gameplay reasons. BUT, that excuse becomes less justified when you boast about doing "research" and "consulting" historians for your 6-8 hour experience.

Knowing that people will be running around with their Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj skins in MW3 tells me all I need to know about whether it would be worth buying for MP.

Short answer: Nope. I think it's plain to see that they'll happily throw away any sense of military conflict if they can make a quick buck off retarded bullshit. Maybe they'll play BLM seminars mid-match like Fortnite did, desperate as they are to emulate them.

For a long time, ActiBlizz keeps hiring big name celebs to promote Call of Duty. It's stupid marketing tactics for sure, but it makes the corporate much more cash money.

It does, and obviously my preferences are not in vogue since I basically dropped CoD when BLOPS came out. Still, I think the more outlandish the series gets and the further they stray from a modern military setting, the more they have to rely on unsafe gimmicks to move units which could eventually do them in.

That's assuming a proper competitor appears which does it better than CoD does, of course (since Battlefield evidently doesn't want to). And zombies always survives no matter how retarded the setting so whatever I guess.

I feel like the SBMM in MW2 is 10x as retarded as ever before. I keep getting thrown into one match after another where my team just gets its ass kicked. You'd think it'd be about 50-50, but I win about 1 in 4 matches.

This is her face model in-game.

I've played every single Tomb Raider since its conception, and goddammit I'm gonna burn some money for this skin.
