Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

Alright, I keep seeing people saying the ending sucks. Guess I wasn't paying any attention and missed that they did another early access campaign deal.

Just tell me who died and/or who betrayed.

I already know it won’t be the wine mom fed, so that eliminates anyone it should be.

ETA: nvm, found out.

I knew it would be anybody but Gaz (this time), Laswell, and that other one. I figured they’d go Price. Honestly, I don’t feel the current timeline is deep enough that anyone needed to die.

Two issues relevant to MWIII as a product.

MWIII would be recognized as DLC for MWII, despite its intention as a standalone title. Hence, a "disc required error."

You boot up your Xbox, be prepared to see an unskippable full screen ad for MWIII.

Seriously? It happened to me.
Was the recent 22+ gb update related to the campaign of MWIII? I don't have the game but the CoD "app?" on Steam downloaded it yesterday.

They need to kill off all the white males. And add a body-positive Black woman.

Don't be giving the devs ideas; they might actually do it.

Was there any moments in the actual campaign that were actually good? I mean, the only real two events that I remember from MW22 were Gaz falling out of the helicopter (mostly because of the edits people kept making) and the "Alone" mission where you had to sneak. Anything in MW23 that actually ends up being interesting?

Also, what's with the Laswell hate? Actual question; been a while since I took a look at MW's stuff, was curious.

Because she's an older woman that was delegated from behind the scenes grunt work to NOW being on the front lines inexplicably. I don't get it either, but her representation leaves a lot to be desired for.

I don't give a shit about spoilers, who betrayed and why?
idk who betrayed, if anybody, but Soap died.

I just don’t care about her, and if someone has to die let it be her. The story of the reboot timeline is blander than water flavored oatmeal with an air chaser. The only thing I find compelling are the main four of the 141.

She doesn’t offend me or anything, I’d just rather it be her.

Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus about it; the story and characters are bland, and there's not really anyone or anything worth caring about. Would've definitely liked seeing Laswell get killed off; I mean, she doesn't offend me either, but she is just a dull character all around.

Not really looking forward to seeing the multiplayer or zombies in this game, either.

I'm offended she's not playable in multiplayer. Even Battlefield 2042 has a older female operator.

Seriously, what's with shooter games trying to put old ladies into everything these days?

Only shooters that come to mind with older women as playable characters online are Battlefield 2042 and Overwatch (2). I can reluctantly count CoD: WW2 and Battlefield V since they allow gender swapping with their custom characters.

What I hate about the nu-MW trilogy is that they keep ending each game off with a cliffhanger to set up the next iteration. It's trying to be a movie without respecting the players' time as a video game. All this exposition overwhelms the character while trying to be thought-provoking.
