There was scope glint in BF3
I must have been thinking of Bad Company 2, then, since I haven't played Battlefield in a decade. But you're right. Look at this gay shit. Modern FPS players are soft.

Was the "glint" bigger in BF4? I seem to remember the hills being crawling with bright flashlights on night maps.

I didn’t mind the scope glint. Snipers in that game were mostly selfish faggots. Camping instead of moving up to play objectives. Anything that got them killed was welcomed.

I refused to play the sniper class and had 0 minutes as one. It was partially driven from removing the mortar call down from BF:BC2. I used to abuse that on Rush.

I didn't play as snipers, either. I rarely if ever even finished off sniper attachments in COD, let alone camos. I just see the giant glowing beacon as a crutch for bad players, plus it looks stupid. Where's the light source in the pitch black room reflecting off the scope? In COD 4, I was a holy terror against snipers because nobody expects someone to run a silenced mini-uzi with UAV Jammer on Crossfire, I mean, who does that.

I saw that CoD Ghosts was on sale on Steam, is it worth getting? I used to have it on console.

edit: By the way, it is now required to have Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 if you want to play CoD.

Ghosts is worth it depending on how much you like Extinction. Other than that, singleplayer is short and shit, multi is dead and all that's left is offline multiplayer with bots(you do get to create your own squad of bots for your team, so that's kind of cool at least) and a weird survival horde mode that is nothing like the one in MW3, you will either love it or hate it.
Extinction is the meat and potatoes of Ghosts once multiplayer is out of the picture, and like with zombies, you will need to invest into DLC if you want to get the most out of it(which almost never goes on sale btw). That said, there is nothing quite like Extinction even 12 years later, closest we ever got to a full blown Extinction game mode as a separate game is that weird Rainbow Six Siege spinoff that nobody seemed to like.

Battlefield is requiring Secure Boot too, so I am guessing this is going to become the new standard in online gaming. Guess the coping has ended and Activision has unofficially admitted that their own shitty anti-cheat, which never worked in the first place or caught any cheaters, is getting retired.
Obligatory "if you still play this game you deserve it" comment here.

So, guess who's back in BO6 Zombies?

Well, the title alone should give it away...

And yet, at this point, I can't really give a single shit.

In all honesty, I'd suggest grabbing Ghosts just for the atmosphere alone; it was the last of the CoD games before they switched over to arena-style Multiplayer maps with AW, and it shows with the general atmosphere. At the risk of sounding spergy; you actually feel like you're in a post-apocalyptic world, rather than the typical CoD MP arena, and I've honestly loaded up plenty of Private Matches on Ghosts just to walk around and enjoy the world the devs created.

And yes, the MP is pretty dead these days; that said, I did happen to find at least a few matches on PS5, so there might be some on Steam. Granted, I'd suggest being careful; PC CoD games are notorious for hacking, so I'd suggest caution.

Real bread-and-butter of Ghosts is the Extinction mode; only five maps, but each and every one of the them are pretty solid in their own right. Only one I'd say is really "bad" is Mayday, and that's because it's much more designed for Multiplayer rather than Solo play, as well as being a LOT more difficult in general. That said, it's still worth grabbing.

I wonder if they are all forcing Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 because Microsoft is ending the support for Windows 10 and they expect people to move to Windows 11.
