Call of Duty Thread - Potential return to form? Or nothing but cope on the horizon? You decide!

Been playing World at War on the PC and there is one server that is the most populated and very fast paced to help people level up to get new weapons. World at War had some very graphic shot like people blown in half.

Modern Warfare 2 has a lot of hackers that have unintentionally leveled me up and gave me all weapons unlocked. Kind of destroys the journey but every title and emblem unlocked for a game I never ever had the chance to play years ago.

My only wish is that World at War and Modern Warfare 2 had controller support in the PC to increase replay value. Also Black Ops 1 is still $40. Activision are more greedy fucks than EA lol.

The last time I attempted to play world at war on PC all I could find were “hardcore” tactical crouching servers, it was boring as sin and the only time you were allowed to stand up and run was when you were outdoors. The mods were very anal about it too, I copped a warning and then a ban so I quit. I do think ATVI sets the old CODs at high prices as to encourage people to buy the latest call of duty. Why spend the 60$ on Modern Warfare 3 or Black Ops 2 when you can get Modern Warfare or Cold War for the same price?

Apparently they changing round 1 of Nazi Zombies, you longer started with the M1911A1, now you can use any AR in round 1 as they said.

ugh, whatever. i just want the original four dudes back and to finally finish their story arc and to do more cool stuff with the transit crew. the easter egg stuff just got to be so fucking retarded I could never sink my time and efforts into completing any. Give a more sustainable gameplay loop!

They ended the original 4s story in BO4 granted it was a huge disappointment since they had like zero budget due to season pass sales slumping but it’s not like they ended it with a cliffhanger. It’s been 11 years. Although I’m concerned with having to choose our operators in Zombies since it’s all crossprogression with MP and you more than 4 different players in the trailer

zombies has become so limiting. I haven't played recently, but the gameplay loop is the same shit, and the easter egg is either too hard or it's like "whoopee we did it, now let's go to round 100." it really needs more depth and something to help with longevity.

Really in order to do that, they would have to completely revamp the mode and if there’s one thing people who play call of duty hate, it’s change

transit was one of the most unique things they did, and they should've blown that concept way way bigger and had more shit with it.

Tranzit itself had a lot of ambition but it was held back by the PS3 and X360, the fog prevented from people seeing too far off thus lowering load on the system and he denizens slowed people down from moving across the map too quickly allowing easier streaming.

anyway Treyarch released a cosplay guide for Black Ops Cold War and it confirmed the KGB lady we saw in the trailer is the same Samantha from the old storyline

so, with the older black ops games, what happened to jimmy zilinski? i thought he was working on some of his own stuff, but it has never come out? do you know anything because he was involved in the earlier zombies maps.

I wasn't a fan of Modern Warfare when it launched, but Warzone kind of won me over and brought me back into normal multiplayer.

But watching Cold War now feels a little too arcade to me, for lack of a better term.

I'm sure I'll enjoy it, Black Ops 2 is tied with WW2 for my favorite game, but I think it's going to be a bitch of an adjustment.

A rumour that the next COD may be a MW2 reboot. I guess Activision is going the reboot route after the botched campaigns of Ghosts, Advanced Warfare and Black Ops III.
Honestly, at the risk of mockery, I'm disappointed that Infinite Warfare is never going to get a follow up. Maybe it was just because it was coming after three mediocre ones, but it's single player campaign I found to be one of the best in the entire series, and ripe with potential.

I never bothered. The multiplayer was horrid that I dropped it entirely.

Here is The Act Man's retrospective on Infinite Warfare.
