If I had half the ability they did for dissecting bullshit from some obscure source, then I would be using that ability for something useful. Like towards fixing how books are produced these days. (I hear no one revolting against the fact Twilight is sexist as fuck and now a rewrite of a rewrite.)
 
The Steven Universe fandom did get really upset when the Uncle Grandpa crossover had a man in a dress sight gag. It was more like the Uncle Grandpa character completely swapped bodies with Rose Quartz, IIRC, which seems like it would be a different trope than just putting on a dress, but ehhh I'm cis scum what do I know. But yeah, they were excited when Steven put on a dress because the rules are made up and the points don't matter, or something.

See, Uncle Grandpa is a cartoon they hate, so it's part of the patriarchy. Steven Universe is a cartoon they like, so it's the most progressive thing ever.

That's the point. When I was around 6 or 7, I never analyzed a cartoon or anything. I just enjoyed it and laughed my ass off.

I didn't write a frickin' book report or anything of the sort lol

By the way, kudos to you for quoting Freud. I had an action figure of him and Shakespeare when I was like 9.

It makes no sense because every single headcannon makes no sense.

They think Steven is a trans girl. Therefore, how can Stevonnie be intersex??
They think Connie is trans man. They they they are a gender. None of this makes legit sense.

I'm still convinced the reason they did Steven-in-a-dress as prominently as they did was to fuck with everyone who's still mad about Uncle Grandpa.

The SU fandom are one of the worst. It is a little more complex than your average kids shows, but for fucks sake not every character is gay. I wholeheartedly believe tumblr is just one big internet troll

I felt like I went to blue screen after hearing half the stuff they claimed. Its sad, but its not just SU. They thought Numbah 4 is trans and Numbah 3 is asexual.

They think Pearl is poly.
