I don't know if I'm overthinking, but if you check out pictures of Chris's homemade iOS case,he leaves a chunk open for the camera lens of his iPhone....but the way the case is, you can't use it while it's closed. Did he do this so he can take candid videos/pictures of chicks?
Probably not. He was spotted using the DSi camera to take pictures of da ladies during the 4th of July and (kinda) at Friday's After Five. He didn't have any problems jamming his iPhone or iPod in the face of the "difficult time lady" at McDonald's to take her picture. I think he's just thinking that "with the iDea by ME, Christian Weston Chandler, you have no reason to take your iPhone or iPod out of it ever again!"
I don't think Chris actually did a lot of planning when he came up with this thing. He's just waiting for Apple to come offer him a few million for the patent rights.
Looks to me like he did that so he wouldn't have to completely remove the case to take a photo. He just has to open up the case. It kind of looks like he didn't realize that issue until after he made the case, so he just crudely cut a hole out.
Looks like it'd be awkward to handle. It's one thing to have one iWhatever in there, but two? He'd either have to bend the other side back, hold it like an actual book, or let it hang freely.
But remember, everything Chris does is perfect on the first try.
Well, I had misunderstood the pictures when they were first leaked and had just assumed that Chris had crafted a (single) iPhone case out of duct tape. That being said, the iDea Book Case is . . . dare I say it . . . almost clever. Except for the fact that most people nowadays use their phone as a music player. And don't carry an iPhone and an iPod at the same time. Or would want to leave all of their expensive devices in a single carrying case. Or would want to be seen with a gaudy, duct tape hatch job around their Apple device.
But, hey, this is Chris we're talking about here. Gaudy and nonsensical is what he does best.
It's clever for Chris. If I told you a 17 year old made this you'd assume they were a bit off. A 12 year old? How novel. A 9 year old? My goodness, how clever!
