Can anyone recommend collection management software for physical media?

Preferably not some shitty online-only system or a crappy phone app. Something relatively simply, but focused specifically on managing physical recordings (tapes, CDs, records/78s), that isn't just a spreadsheet, with possibly some sort of integration with discogs or some other catalog.

First, you have a problem.

Now, you have two problems.

t. someone who has published code integrating with discogs and other catalogs.

Use a spreadsheet, or DIY your own interface, because you're gonna get pissed off at everyone else's.

why not use excel? As stupid as it sounds, I was using it to keep track of the books I had/was reading and makeup I had for a while.

Data Crow seems to have the features you seek. IIRC (haven't used it in forever) it also lets you use your webcam to scan the barcodes.

Honestly, if you're going to use Discogs, the Discogs app itself is good. I like being able to scan the barcode on newer vinyl releases or CD's so it adds the specific pressing of what I have. The Bookshelf app is pretty good too (and its free)!

I actually used Discogs for a while. It's pretty good although it is online only.
