Sure, the Interwebs has given us a lot of great advantages but it actually has created more disadvantages for society.

Even people who used to be normal in the 90s have become narcissists.

Norm people have been groomed into sexually deviant lifestyle.

Immigrants have learned about our lifestyles, and it's enticed them into replacing us.

The pressure to obtain beauty, wealth, and social standing have become a million times worse.

Morons who would have stayed morons without the Internet have become radical school shooters.

The Internet has magnified and multiplied every horrible facet of humanity.

What can we do to mitigate the influences of the Internet?

Most if not all problems you have described seem to effect mainly the USA and in my humble opinion, I believe they all have their own roots in the 1960s. Rise in the deviant lifestyle? The sexual revolution has you covered. The United States reenacting what happened to the Native Americans when new arrivals overwhelmed them? Meet the Immigration And Nationality Act of 1965. Mental health crisis? Deinstitutionalization picked up steam in that time to because for some reason people naively thought that pills would magically address all problems with the mind. While I can't really give a reason why people are more narcissistic then they were before it could have to do with a rise in more secular beliefs which in the 1960s gained a good amount of lead way due to the fact Bible reading and school prayers were effectively banned by decision of Supreme Court. In the case I am wrong here I will firmly say that the issues of today are the result of things that were set in motion long ago and that even if a country isn't the USA, due to American influences, its politics, economics and pop culture makes it way into all parts of the world.

Yeah... I've seen a couple of 30+ year olds getting way too into tik tok and trying to be an influencer. Kinda sad.

I get it with zoomers but these people born in the 80s and 90s grew up without it and for some reason decided to drink the retard kool aid later in life.

Social media has been bad for the world overall more than the internet as a whole. But the people being influenced to center their lives around social media are weak and would have been retards in any era.

In another time they would have found something else to fixate on, like religious fanaticism. IG influencers would have been the town skank in the pre social media world. Social media just fills an empty space for those people and helps them find and create other degenerates. Weak people like that have always existed, the internet just makes them easier to notice.

In a world where Ancient Greeks fucked young boys, Mohammad had a child bride, Aztecs ritually sacrificed people and had skull racks, the blood eagle got invented by viking, and several hundred other heinous acts of violence were committed, the internet is the fucking tipping point?

I mean there's a fair argument that things like the internet has expedited things with easy of access to information and communication on a global scale. I wouldn't say it's the sole purpose that caused the fire but it did help the flam grow in short time.

The Internet is not the problem. It's browsers and the idiots who make them. They keep doubling down on remote code execution as a feature. A modern web browser is closer to a distributed operating system than a document viewer. It just lacks a proper kernel.

It's 50% the internet and 50% white males who can't differentiate the difference between the online world and the *actual* world we live in. That's why pasty faced cave beasts should be chipped, pinned, muzzled and their cocks caged for the greater good.
