I used to think Jesus was a Jewish psyop to control the Roman Empire & Europe, but Jesus Christ is the real deal. Committed myself to accepting Jesus as my lord and Savior last October.
Jesus despised what the Jewish leaders were doing with the unnecessary animal sacrifices, weird cult rituals, money laundering, and harsh punishments or restrictions upon people. Saving the Jews, his own people, as well as every other kind of people, from evil if possible was what he was sent to do by our Creator.
Jesus knew the Jews would make the Talmud and predicted it, which he spoke out against in their adherence to tradition vs God's will in the Book of Matthew. Jesus knew the Second Temple of the Jews would eventually be destroyed.
The Old Testament and Covenant should be viewed as history and not what Christians should directly follow in my opinion. Genesis and Samuel are pretty good at least.
There is a corruption within our world and it also found its way into the Old Testament. Jesus contrasted his teachings with the Old Testament.
I truly believe Jesus came to Earth to teach us a better way of life and to save everyone. He made the ultimate sacrifice to prove a point. It was the Jewish Oligarchy that killed him, not the Romans.
Jesus sought to help us get a better understanding of God and how he is present everywhere. We are sinners and going to keep sinning. That does not mean we shouldn't try to do better, but if you believe in Jesus and accept him into your heart Jesus is very understanding of our triumphs, sorrows, and shortcomings. Jesus does listen to you if you talk to him or try to understand him.
I don't mean to sound like a schizophrenic, but Jesus has talked to me a few moments in life and said things that nobody could know except him. He couldn't tell me everything I wanted to know, as there is always a plan and free-will is a wrench thrown in the mix, but he can intervene in your life and enrich it especially.
God is not the wrathful, mean spirited person the Old Testament sort of portrays him as. Yes, God does sometimes punish people for grave sins upon Earth, but that is not his entire purpose.
Jesus wants us to make Earth a better place and to expand wherever we can in all of God's creation. The miracles of Jesus are true.
