Can No Knock Raids be a good Thing?

I have mulled it over and over, and to be honest I feel the no knock raid should only be reserved for extreme cases where no other options in dealing with the suspect are available. We should see maybe a handful of no-knocks a year and not more then that.

Consider the fact also, that the stealth factor of a no knock is defeated easily by just about any burglar proofing you could do to a door. I would hate to see what cops start employing for quick entry if people get scared and start armoring up their doors: https://youtu.be/6PFRLv2S4iU

Only if you have absolute, 100% proof that you're at the right place, you know you're not going up against some nutjob who keeps an entire arsenal of flame throwers, and it's a serious situation, not just some random meth head or pot dealer.

Raids in general should only be reserved for extreme crimes. Right now the US currently has SWAT going in to harass people for noise complaints and smoking weed. Give the police a hammer and everything will look like nails.
