You need to watch the TV show on Amazon Prime first, if you want to understand the NCU. Fuck's sake. It's all on there, you can binge watch it, then all the movies will make sense.

Just don't play the video game tie in for the TV series. It's a shitty reboot that doesn't tie into the NCU at all.
