Can we have a sub forum to talk about guns

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I promise you Josh everyone can behave and it won't just spiral down into fed posting
I'd honestly be interested in a firearms sub-forum. Just set up a no politics rule and you should be golden.
Is the one thread we have insufficient?
Sorry if it's unrelated to your question, but hile I'm here I want to inform you ahead of time that SIG Sauer sucks. They cheap out on their metallurgy and the strikers in their pistol have a tendency to cause catastrophic failures.

What about Ruger?

Just seems like there are better places online to discuss firearms. We don't seem to have a whole lot of interested posters here, and I'm not sure a new subforum would have more than maybe two or three active threads at best. Even as a fairly dedicated gun guy I'm not sure I would ever actually post in it.

It also creates a new angle of attack for the site's enemies who could use content posted there as more fuel to misconstrue and mislabel what exactly the farms is. Which we have enough of already.

I see some potential with this idea. There is the gun discussion itself. Then there are the political advocacy orgs like the NRA and anti-gun groups and the cows involved. Then there could be a section on discussing gun law proposals/current events and the court cases around them.

Most of this stuff on its own could be categorized in other places of the site though.
