A few phrases I noticed years ago when I would post in left wing online circles was "bothsideism", "I'm just asking questions!" in a mocking tone and "whataboutism"

Because Heaven forbid you learn both sides of the story or *gasp* ask questions, nobody ever came to an understanding of something by asking questions, how dare someone try to understand why you retards think the way you think by asking questions and how dare someone expect logical consistency.

This was all around a decade ago too which shows how stupid it was getting even back then, but while I think the left used to be better, I also think deep down they were always narcissistic little shitheads who think whatever trusted mainstream culture tells them to think, it's just that the overall cultural climate used to be better, but they'd swallow any bullshit no matter how evil or blatantly false if the "experts" told them to.

That one jumped out at me. I once made the mistake of introducing that phrase to a lefty who actually hadn't discovered it yet. He now uses it incessantly, and in exactly that tone. (:_(
