In this thread we make up a NY SVU Episode.
I'll get things started in continuation with the current storyline structure.
A young black woman was raped by frat boys. Their parents have money and good lawyer, so the case is really hard. She's really promising too, in line to be named woman of the year in economics, so that's a shame. She lives in a ghetto, but she was taking care of her 7 brothers and sisters since age 9.
Luckily, Olivia manages to talk to Nina, the barista across the street. She saw the whole thing. But she's scared to testify, because she's an illegal who was raped by cartel members. Her whole family was raped to death back in Rwanda. And she has a sick little brother. And her dad is super sick too, so she can't really stop working. She's studying to be a surgeon on the side so it's hard. But Olivia is like, yeah here is my card, call me day and night, I have nothing better to do.
It's a hard case, but she convinces her that she's a not a victim, but a warrior, so she testifies. The lawyer are like, "you're sure that's gonna work out?" The bosses are breathing down her neck, it needs to work. Tension is high. Luckily Olivia is looking out for the victim.
Nina's testimony is mostly about Rwanda, but whatever, they win. They go to a bar and say a few words and laugh, then cut to serious telepathic "good this is over".
Cuts to the end feel good segment, Olivia is shopping around for a trans child to adopt.
