Canada is a failed state

The only good thing on the CBC was Kenny Vs Spenny and that didn't even get real good until it went to Showcase.

Fuck no to that. That garbage show killed off the soul that was the old GSN, when they decided to drop their successful Game Shows like Whammy!, Friend or Foe, and Russian Roulette, to air that dreck instead.

Back to Leafland itself, car thefts are skyrocketing To The Moon, and it's to the point that Canada will be holding a national summit about the issue, which obviously won't do a damn thing to fix it.

Holy shit, their daughter was likely a jab death
Retard, take your meds.
Ours was like 400. I hate Fortis so goddamned much.
This but Nova Scotia Power. Privatized, overpriced, shitty, dirty coal power. Why can New Brunswick of all places have a nuclear power plant but we can't?!
Honestly they should probably prioritize every non-drug user over every drug user. At least some immigrants are useful and work actual jobs unlike all the random small-town fentanyl addicts littered all over southern ontario.
Those people should be institutionalized, we never should have gotten rid of mental institutions. Immigrants are not helping us in any way, all their skills are just stealing opportunities from a native who either has the skill or could be invested in to get it.

Exactly. These drug addicts or mentally unstable people no longer have path way to reintegrate back into our society because "they took ma jobs." It's as simple as cashier or line cook which are now occupied by migrants.

People need to think real hard about what it is that we are losing and what it is that we are gaining.

We also ought to be building 5 nuke plants in every city.....

You guys are all showing how young you are. You don't remember in the 90s when CBC played reruns of American TV shows like The Simpsons, had original shows like On the Road Again, The Red Green Show and Johnovision and played a ton of sports like Baseball and the CFL. CBC used to be a legitimate TV station with entertaining shit people wanted to watch. The current incarnation of CBC was phased in gradually in the 2000s as they gradually moved away from syndicated programs, sports and more general programming and moved more toward programming that they feel represents Canada's regional and cultural diversity, AKA shit nobody wants to watch.

I remember both baseball and Simpsons reruns on CBC.

There's some director's commentary somewhere of Kenny Hotz of Kenny vs Spenny talking about part of the reason they got canceled by CBC after Season 1 and moved to Showcase was that they were given an after school special timeslot where their fart jokes and Jackass-stuff was scheduled between Jeopardy and Peter Mansbridge.

Edit: This was Spenny, not Kenny. And it doesn't mention the Simpsons or Jeopardy.

Of course, much has changed in both comedy and the wider culture since the show debuted, somewhat unbelievably, on CBC in 2003. (Rice maintains the public broadcaster cancelled the series after its first season—it eventually wound up on Showcase—because it aired right before the evening news, and droves of Canadians tuning in to watch Peter Mansbridge were scandalized by the episode-closing humiliations.)

Are you feeling the inflation yet?

At least you acknowledge they are lying profusely about the inflation rate, if nothing else
I love how the TruAnons REEEEEE! about how inflation is a global phenomenon that the federal government has no control over. The federal government printed copious amounts of money and borrowed even more during the pandemic with at least half of it being used on non-COVID spending. Printing more money always creates inflation. It happened in Weimar Germany and one would have to be an idiot to believe that history would not repeat itself.

The government is most likely lying about inflation, but I reckon that they are lying about the economy in general. One has to remember that Justin Trudeau publicly admitted that he admired China's basic dictatorship because they can turn their economy on a dime. Well, I watched a video on YouTube that mentioned a study from the University of Chicago (I believe) that revealed that the PRC had been fudging its numbers to fluff up its GDP growth since at least 2008. It would not surprise me in the least to learn that the Trudeau government has been cooking the books on GDP growth since coming to power in 2015. Former Environment and Infrastructure minister Catherine McKenna infamously lost $187 billion and access to information documents are heavily redacted, if the requests are even processed because of the backlog. This government has to be the most opaque one of my lifetime.

For all that spending, there is almost nothing to show for it except a higher cost of living, higher crime, and crumbling healthcare and infrastructure.
