Canada is a failed state

We have nowhere else to go. Even if we have a professional job (The US and European country would rather sponsor Jeet and Chink Accountants, Financial analysts and tech workers)
Plenty of latin american countries are cleaning up their act because they have been losing population like crazy el Salvador comes to mind as an example, Argentina is in the hopeful category many people talking about massive investment and slowly cleaning up state by state in Mexico too. There are mentions something like 1000 usd salary in certain places for something like cook. Consider it fucking hell a pig like Ethan Ralph somehow manages not to get killed in the process with drug addiction on top to have their own place to live, south east asia is in similar situation many of the countries start population decline outside of the two three major cities rent is cheap and jobs especially something like English teacher, medical profession even more mundane as electrician or skilled mechanic is in demand. Fucking hell my shithole country started hiring African staff and shifting shit on English because skilled labor has left the country period and the only labor available speaks English only.

My own mother can speak English she learned arguing with customers at her workplace the woman will retire soon and is 60+ .

A paradise for folks who embrace modernity <3

Serious question to canadians why are you still in canada? Crime is out of hand , you arent allowed to defend yourself and there is no end to migrants and cost of living increases . You might have better chance at getting a house and some savings in Brazil or any of the latin american countries who actually clamp down on crime and try to make themselves attractive for migrants without taxes and DEI mandatory torture . They beg for educated people
short version is we own nothing. Assuming you bail on your current expenses, leaving the country requires paying for plane tickets or gas to cross the border, then you need to find housing while you look for work - assuming that you don't have a skill mismatch with the local economy of where you want to move to. plus if that fails you're now trapped in a completely alien environment with potentially less prospects then if you stayed

If there was a program where some place will pay for you to travel there and have guaranteed housing and employment then i would take it

Dont quote me on this but this was decades ago in my home country they offered all expenses covered to work in various mena countries the conditions were that you had to suck it up for the duration of the contract two years unskilled one year for skilled but few relatives who went said usually after six months they just eat the expenses as part of the hiring process since trying to litigite it was useless they just kept your last month paycheck to pay for your back home ticket.

The conditions were okaish if you could deal with arabs and their laws and corruption and you can live without getting high and drunk after work to blew off steam. According to them they had shared bedroom plus food plus bus taking them from the place of work to the place they lived and sometimes they lived right on a compound in workplace. Wasn't best but defo wasn't worst.

I'm doing that now. Barely making it, but went off to a Spanish speaking place.

I actually want to return to North America, and have to return to Canada (not American). Id like to live in my home country, but thats not even the issue.

I literally can't afford to live in my home country with my salary. I don't want to live in student housing in my 30s, I don't want to live with 10 other jeet roommates, I'm not going to be paying thousands in rent, etc.

I don't know if things will get better, but for context, I took a pay hike and make probably half of what I would in Canada, for more stress- but my rent is only 350 a month for a 3 bedroom, utilities 200 max, food- it costs me 50 a week for what would cost me 200 dollars worth of groceries in Canada, and I'm getting by just fine. I had some savings because I knew shit was going to hit the fan during the pandemic and thats when I left, before I was forced to get the jab, but

My hope is that in a few years or decade Canada will have its shit figured out and all the jeets will be gone, or at the least housing will be fixed and maybe then I'll consider moving back. I doubt that will happen though, so maybe I'll reevaluate things in a few years regardless, and maybe take the plunge, commit to another country long term, but I'll figure that out later if things are beyond hope for the nation. I think theres a high chance that they are, but lets see how things start going once Trudeau is gone.

Right now though, I'm sad and relieved that I'm gone from this country. Thats my story. My ancestors were brave enough to colonize this place, I'm trying to take on some of that frontier mentality and move to where its a bit better to bunker down, risks included for the benefits. The part I take solace in is, unlike all those American celebrities who are always like 'If Donald Trump wins, I'm leaving the country!!!"

Well, when Trudeauland got bad enough in 2020, I actually left the country. I come back on occasion. I came back for part of the year this year, to KW in Ontario for the first time since the pandemic started, and BOY. NO, NONONO. GLAD IM GONE. What the fuck happened between 2020 and 2024. Like seriously, what the fuck?

That's because he bears a striking resemblance Rocky Dennis.

Rocky Dennis might spin in his grave now after being compared to that guy.

Btw, there's a good rant about the liberal defeat in Toronto-St.Paul's.

And take a message to Justin, message to Justin...

By Silvio Canto, Jr.

They had an election up in Ontario, Canada yesterday and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has shut off his phone for now.

Don't expect the prime minister to return your call for a day or two. Canada's prime minister had a bad night in Ontario, and let me tell you why.
This is the story:

Conservative candidate Don Stewart has won the longtime federal Liberal stronghold of Toronto-St. Paul's, a stunning result that raises questions about Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's future.

Stewart's victory is shocking because the seat has been held by the Liberals for more than 30 years — even through the party's past low points, such as the 2011 federal election that returned just 34 Liberal MPs to Parliament.

Before Monday's vote, a Conservative candidate hadn't been competitive in Toronto–St. Paul's since the 1980s. The party hadn't won a seat in urban Toronto since the 2011 federal election.

Let me be honest. I'm not a Canada expert but there are a lot of Canadians in Texas. They love hockey and hate Trudeau or so they tell me.

They love their homeland but keep warning everyone about government health care and high taxes. As one told me, people up north pay too many taxes and hate waiting in line so long to get routine medical treatment.

Not going to happen, hate to say this but your politicians had the same mentality that my home country had before i left, which was if you don't like it leave if you could with all that smugness of upper classmen have in midst of population drop. This will take decades and population drop of at least 10% before they adjust their attitudes and try to get people to come there. As long as line goes up they don't care.

Serious question to canadians why are you still in canada?
I live in one of the more rural parts of the country that isn't nearly as fucked up as the rest of the country. Not saying it's not in the process of getting fucked up, just saying it's not even close to being as fucked up as urban area in Ontario, BC, Nova Scotia, etc. It's still north of 90% white, you can actually feasibly buy a house, low population density, etc.

It's like the US; there is a very big difference between living in West Virginia and living in LA.

However, like many provincial governments, mine seems hellbent on overrunning everyone with International Students. I'm happy the backlash against that is finally happening to the point where it may actually get reigned in before it fucks things up here too badly.

Even if my area got fucked up to the point where I wanted to leave, while I do actually have a professional degree I could use in other countries, I am a 40-year-old man with a wife and kids who owns a house. It's not as easy to hop on a plane and go for me as it is for someone who is 22 and single.

1) other first world english-speaking countries like Australia, NZ, Britain, Ireland, etc., are just as if not more pozzed than here.
2) the third world doesn't respect blue collar work like North America does and my field(railroading) is especially dependent on having better infastructure.
3) I live in a section of Canada mostly unharmed by immigration and fuckery, in a town too small to support either.
4) America is still lightyears more fucked than Leafville, sorry burgers.
5) I'd hate to be in the same class of people regarded as country destroyers. I don't want them here, why would they want me there?
Also come to Brazil? Lol

Honestly given how bad Canada has been with its economy, immigration, crime, housing, etc... I'm am beyond floored that Leafs aren't seriously considering a democratic strongman like Bukele to bring peace and order to the streets that seemingly have none.
I have no problem believing Leafs would love nothing more than a Bukele-type Autocrat, for sure. It's really the only feasible way Canada can still exist in any meaningful sense. Alas, they're a 'Democracy,' which means no one is responsible for anything, so there is no one to complain to, and the 'citizens' have no recourse whatsoever. Democracy is a very unique system where there is always a way to totally bypass the will of the overwhelming majority of the people (this is precisely how so many Western nations have faggot "marriage," because very few if any of them voted for that, it's usually imposed on them via the courts). Note that other supposed 'dictatorships' aren't like this, insofar their citizens know who is actually in control, nor they do this constant "We have to save Democracy" signaling that every Western shithole does nowadays. Democracy is the worst form of tyranny, plain and simple.

Why hasn't Alberta/Western Canada seceded yet? I though Alberta was a cash cow to pay for Eastern Canadian entitlements.
Alberta and its, let's say, 'natural ally' of Saskatchewan are landlocked. If BC was on board, instead of being the same sort of communist dude-weed-bro shithole as Washington and Oregon, it would be a slightly different ball game.

Even then, there'd be the question of being an independent country (I.E. de facto protectorate of the States) versus trying to join the States. I think a lot of right-wing people in Western Canada have this rose-tinted view of the Union as this based land of libertarian freedom which is just dying to welcome them with open arms and give them the 1st and 2nd amendments on a platter. In reality, I'm not even sure if the woke, semi-mexicanized, negro-worshipping permanent government in Washington DC would even want more red(ish) states, let alone want to extend rights they are at loathe to recognize in the states which currently exist.
