A mod from r/Canadahousing2 "interviewed" the leader of the PEI international student Protesters and it was awful:

Props to the mod for trying despite obviously not being comfortable in front of a camera, but he fumbled an easy dunk here. Apparently Rupinder said he'd only agree to the AMA if they gave him the questions beforehand (shocking I know) and they agreed.
You can see why he demanded this as he just reads off his answers from a script, to the extent that some of them don't quite match the question being asked, but Rupinder won't know that will he?
On top of that the mod never pushes back on any of the obvious lies that Rupinder spewed and it just made him come across like he actually has something worthwhile to say.

Main reason I'm sharing this is it's a nice little snapshot of what will be the majority population in a decade or 2:

The big problem it that the their solution is to throw money on the table and tell their subordinates to "make things happen" as if critical infrastructure and services appear with the wave of the wand.

Somehow the Liberal Party of Canada measures success by how much they spend, which is why you cannot go a week without some announcement that the federal government is spending (X) billion dollars on some program, so-called "investment", or being Zelenskyy's sugar daddy. It doesn't matter how many millions go to consulting firms or political insiders, as long as their chattering support base sing their praises. What really kills me is that many of programs like national pharmacare, school lunches, and dental care are not only half measures at best, but redundant as most provinces have similar programs in place at lower costs. Of course, all Ottawa can do is to (again) throw money on the table and force compliance with the provinces than, you know, collaborate. The federal government wants to muscle in on provincial matters when they are incapable of handling their own affairs.

Take the oft-mentioned file of immigration. Ottawa because that it will expand its own tax base merely by importing unskilled migrants from the third world who are not only a net drain on society, but damage social cohesion as it undercuts the Canadian worker via wage suppression. As many have mentioned here, these newcomers will lie and cheat to advance their careers because they came to game the system and bring their dependents over through chain migration to place greater strain on existing welfare programs. All the while bureaucrats and politicians block any meaningful reform because they want to extract from these ailing institutions for as long as they can before everything collapses. Screw the people who actually paid into it for their entire lives.

The ArriveCAN app was supposed to cost the taxpayer around $60-80,000, but ended up costing nearly 700 times that much and not even the auditor general knows how much the federal government spent. (It could be over $100M!) Only Odin knows how much graft and waste exists in every federal ministry as members of Trudeau's cabinet, political insiders, and the civil service love to live an opulent lifestyle at someone else's expense. Multiple layers of redundancy inside the managerial class have made the federal government too bloated and slow to react while the world outside their ivory tower changes faster than they can adapt.

Their solution? Double down on the same failed policies. Bring in more unskilled immigrants! Bring in more useless consultants! Bring in more redundant half-assed programs with an exorbitant price tag! All the while cost of living increases exponentially because they can't stop printing money and borrowing. Canada is not so much a nation as it is an economic zone filled with foreign enclaves with no unifying identity aside from platitudes that no one but the dumbest TruAnon believes in. Seriously. They are delusional enough to believe that Sanjay and Ahmed are going to instantly abandon their culture to embrace drag queens reading to their children.

What really kills me is that the political elites believe that every struggling pleb is willing to fight and die for their vision. Fuck that noise. I will not put my life on the line so I can have some 'jeet can take or my job or for some useless Laurentian mouth breather to live the high life. Something that is rarely talked about is how the Canadian Armed Forces struggles with recruitment and I imagine that part of it has to do with the fact that isn't anything about this country that is worth fighting for. Never mind the face that it's chronically underfunded, under equipped with rock-bottom morale. Then the government (doesn't matter who's in charge) cast you aside once you're done with your service or injured in the line of duty.

But no, this is fine. Look at our GDP growth, but ignore the falling GDP per capita, cratering productivity, and myriad social ills.

It's what they're doing in the Greater Toronto Hamilton area. Hamilton is probably the worst example, where every single parking lot, large private property (residential or commercial doesn't matter), old church/school, old government building, etc is either being converted or razed to cram in another carbon copy of the exact same overpriced ugly-ass high rise condo/shoebox-sized attached townhouse units that somehow contain 4 flights of stairs apiece. Those nice old brownstones that gave the city some character seem to be falling victim to an epidemic of mysterious fires, and big property management companies are always waiting to be all over that shit immediately. Plenty of scumfuck renoviction schemes leaving poors on the street (replaced with slightly better off rentoids who recently lost their houses) have the homeless problem so bad there that for a while the parking area behind their city hall looked exactly like a fucking favela slum.

It is certainly true that most of the shitty rental properties that used to house our poors are now preferentially given to broke refugees who breed like rats, don't work (or at best work construction, poorly and for cheap, not helping our crumbling infrastructure), usually have multiple extremely disabled children with astronomical medical costs (and eventually taking up institutional space), and whose older male children commit a whole shitload of violent crime. But even the skilled (or "skilled" as the case may be) immigrants from shit countries still chain-migrate all their elderly relatives over and absolutely kill us with regards to medical care and the automatic prescription coverage afforded to the elderly in most (all?) provinces. Even third worlders now are fat as fuck (or shortly become so) and usually diabetic, which costs a fucking fortune, even when they're not noncompliant as hell and constantly in and out of the hospital getting every kind of expensive medical intervention out there in an effort to save them from their own fat asses. I don't know the exact rules but I do know most of them claim old age pension and/or Canada pension, even if they don't get the maximum, they tend to live in multigenerational households with elderly aunts and uncles often included which gives them a pretty decent household income from a system they paid absolutely fuck all into.

The one thing I'll say for Indians, East Asians, and some Arabs is that they tend to care for their elderly relatives at home rather than offloading them into government funded assisted living once it becomes impossible to care for them while working an actual job required to survive.

With all the other shit going on I actually almost forgot I'm still mad about that. I'd also like to give honorable mentions to however much money was pissed into the wind paying government employees to do God knows what while no government services were even available for a couple years, hiring nosy tech-illiterate retards as "contact tracers" so they could access all kinds of private information without people's knowledge or consent on their unlocked and fully boomered personal laptops over unsecured (sometimes public) wifi, and purchasing billions of doses of worthless scam vaccines that mostly got thrown directly in the trash. Oh and hiring the "quarantine officers" sent to harass people who crossed the US border for the day in an attempt to catch them slipping up on one of the ever-changing, arbitrary, pointlessly autistic, and sometimes literally impossible requirements of them afterwards, while somehow allowing MERS, ebola, tuberculosis, and AIDS into the country with refugees right on through, and in at least a couple of documented instances took the job specifically so they could rape women they knew were supposed to be home alone.

They are so fucking fortunate that the worst anyone did to the feds for this shit was honk at them, it's absolutely unreal.

All the worlds best scientists and remember what happened in the end at Jurassic Park? If there’s any Western government that isn’t struggling now, I’ve yet to hear of it. Public debt, inflation, housing shortages, lawlessness, uncontrolled immigration, ruinous environmental regulations, and progressive ideological nonsense worry or infuriate most people. Rather than looking for solutions, governing elites condescend, berate their critics, and even resort to speech codes and censorship. The real problem, as elites see it, is not their own ill-conceived ideas but ordinary people’s failure to accept them. The German playwright Bertolt Brecht joked about this phenomenon during the East German uprising against Soviet policies in 1953. Instead of crushing the dissidents, wouldn’t it be easier for the government to dissolve the people and elect a new one?

In Canada, Brecht’s joke may as well be government policy. The Liberal Party has long been unhappy with the Canadian people. The old flag and royalist symbols represented an embarrassing attachment to Britain, so they were abolished. The Liberal elite saw themselves as above parochial politics. Linguistic, cultural, and regional divisions were frustrating; they preferred the United Nations and international forums and aimed to dissolve long-established Canadian identities within an official multiculturalism in the 1970s and 1980s.
If there is one person to blame for most of this, it is Pierre Elliott Trudeau, the former prime minister and father of the current one, Justin Trudeau. But the son is worse than the father.

Before becoming prime minister, Justin Trudeau suggested breaking up the country if Canada proved insufficiently progressive. As prime minister, he declared that Canada was a post-national state with “no mainstream” and “no core identity.” Furthermore, being Canadian “by default” is nothing special, since (according to Trudeau) recent immigrants have a stronger claim of ownership on the country. Artwork representing Canadian culture and history has been stripped out of the new passports. Statues of monarchs, prime ministers, and other national figures are regularly pulled down without resistance. Streets and institutions have been renamed in conformity with leftist ideology. Normal Canadian culture is racist, homophobic, and colonialist, we are constantly told. A government-funded anti-hate “toolkit” for schools deemed the old Canadian flag (under which we fought the Nazis) a “hate-promoting symbol.” Trudeau even suggested that the entire country was complicit in an ongoing genocide, though he notably neglected to turn himself in at the Hague.
