Canada is a failed state

We do have a lot in common with a third world country. In third world countries the rich and the government tends to live in opulence. See examples of the Philippines, India, Brazil.

None of these countries have a middle class either. We are very much in step with them.
You might add as well South Africa and Zimbabwe to the list.

There will be no 51st state or tariffs right? But a nice boost for Trudeau liberals.

Gotta love the fake Canada First from the Liberals too. Bunch of Buy Canadian FB groups and subreddits. Buy Canadian right? But never Hire Canadian. That ll be racist. And we dont want that.

Kinda reminds me of what Donald was running his election campaign on: Anti war and pro free speech. Long time gone: America first.

Oh well back to infinity jeets and "affordable housing":

good thing that elections are still being delayed

Do we live in the same country?

Like yah sucks if you're young right now, unwilling to move out of the worst jeet infested ratholes, and not upwardly mobile in any way.

But something like 70% of the population live in houses bought before they got expensive. It's not uncommon for a 3 bedroom suburb house to have a $1000/month mortgage. Pretty easy to live middle class like that even if groceries cost more.

been renting since 2015 2010

(yes i am a genius)

it has gotten comparably more difficult, in my experience, to make ends meet.

for years now.

shitty landlords-cum-developers have left me jaded.

the suburb bubble generally prevails, it's true--despite a grocery pinch

speaking as a downtown denizen

i find it hard to recognize my hometown, and myself, at times.

One of my friends went full TDS out of nowhere, going on about how the Orange Fascist is literally killing people and his tariff threats are an act of treason. I couldn't talk reason into him. I feel like I'm going insane: didn't we already have four years of him? Granted, this time I can't say "how does this affect you, a non-American" since we're flirting with a recession and rallying around our inept government to stand up le evil drumph. Shit like this combined with hearing less and less English when I'm out really seems to make the world feel smaller.

God help me, I can't get my finger on the pulse of how Canadians are feeling right now. I am very fucking aware that Reddit is a terrible place to get any sort of read on how real Canadians feel, but all the Canadian subreddits, from the ultra-pozzed /r/onguardforthee to the """ebil fascists""" on /r/Canada are guzzling Trudeau's cum and drowning in terminal TDS. I'm just genuinely shocked how even Trudeau-critical spaces have gone to sucking his cock because he appealed to "Canadian Nationalism". Do these retards not remember the infamous "post-national state" bullshit?

I'll admit, I don't like Polievre. He's as genuine as a $3 bill and will do nothing to stop our current Infinity Pajeets policy. But the Libs absolutely need to get egg on their face and spend a few years in the wilderness (before coming back when people get tired of the Cons). Such is the lifecycle of Canadian politics. It seems even people I know who aren't terminally online (either on Reddit or the Farms) are falling for this bullshit. They were all for shooting themselves in the foot with counter-tariffs and "buying Canadian", and forgiving Justin for all his sins.

God help me, I'm beginning to get a little worried that the Libs might pull a minority out of the hat. I don't see any way the Liberals staying in government won't be an absolute disaster for this country (sorry, "post-national state"). Am I being a doomer here?

Just skip the nationalist communism.

....wait.

Can we just nationalize the monopolies like Loblaws and ROBELUS and end their BS private monoply price gauging behaviour?

Anyway I had to head into Toronto today for some event. So I walked into a Tim Hortons because I was going to buy a hot chocolate and use the Wifi to quickly look up some directions. Well as soon as I entered I immediately turned around and left because the first thing I saw was a horde of browns and then a Mentally Ill White Crackhead who was currently having a meltdown.

Just noped out of their like Abe Simpson.

Literally everything is falling apart in Canada, and it's denizens are only concerned with feeling validated and self-assured. This "country" is so cartoonishly dystopic and satanic.
