Canada is a failed state

so do we get an election called, when they can ramp up anti-america sentiment and have the Liberals maintain control for another four years?
Well, it depends.

If Carney is smart, he'll take his only chance right now and call for an election in the following weeks. As far as the wider public is concerned, Carney is a breath of fresh air while also having some experience with national negotiations. He's not Justin Trudeau, as far as they know, and he can build on this. He has a moderate chance of success depending on how he handles tariff issues, trade policies, our energy sector, nationalism and the carbon tax. There's a lot of variables there for him the fuck up and there's time for him to do it, he's already proving inconsistent on the issue of our pipelines being built at a time where we're making plans to remove the US from our oil export businesses long term. We need those pipelines to quickly export to other nations. If Carney makes a break for it, speeds to the finish line and holds some consistent views.....30-40% of a win.

If Carney does not do this, he will enter Question Period with Pierre. Carney should do everything possible to avoid that if he wants to win because if Pierre gets him in a room where he has to be accountable and respond to the shit he advised the Trudeau campaign to do, any support he has now will quickly erode.

Which is why we must have Total Laurentian Elite Death
Sometimes I wonder if there is anything worth saving. Before one calls me a doomer, consider this:
I am not advocating "ritual suicide" or any stupid craze. Rather, "we can still change things!". The house always wins, otherwise the populace wouldn't have a say in the matter. Check these latest news from Romania: https://www.thekylebecker.com/p/romania-bans-populist-presidential
What I am saying is for people to hold firm, and be realistic. At best, on a local level, gather things and know that this system won't hold out for eternity. Maybe meet new people who will eventually cooperate and barter in a time of need. That's all.

The future is truly bleak.

Carney does not currently have a seat. So he is not allowed in question period until he is an elected member of the parliament. We have had issues like this happen before, such as in New Brunswick where the Liberals won all seats so question period was held outside of the house so the opposition had an opportunity to debate. I imagine if Carney is sporting, he might do something like this. However, I doubt it and the next goal of the Liberal party is to hide him as much as possible until after the election. Carney comes across as a lizard person.

Carney said he's going to use emergency powers to achieve a "green economy" and net-zero.
The carbon tax is not going anywhere.
In Carneys acceptance speech he gave today, he said absolutely nothing about emergency powers and said

"So, my government will immediately eliminate the divisive consumer carbon tax on families, farmers, and small and medium-sized businesses. And we will stop the hike in the capital gains tax because we think builders should be incentivized for taking risks and rewarded when they succeed"

Pretty fucking ballsy for a man to make a false promise on the night he becomes PM to the entire country on live national television but okay.

Are the PP retards that far gone?

I can fix the Carney Bloodline.

Question Period is obsolete and irrelevant because modern politicians have no integrity or decorum.

Trudeau only showed up half the time. And when he did, he and his ministers didn't answer questions and only read off canned talking points.

The Speaker also doesn't hold the sitting government accountable in answering the questions posed.

It's all irrelevant anyway, since even if your average normie cared, all of the MSM networks are dishonest, government-backed smear merchants even if anything interesting ever went down.

Westminster parliamentary systems are obsolete. It's the illusion of choice. You vote every 4 years for a dictatorship, with no way to change things if the party in power swings hard against your interests. Instead they rely on the voter's short term memory to keep them in power. Remember when Chretien ran against the GST and was all about repealing it? Called it regressive taxation, and then we just forgot about it.

Looks like Carney is the new PM, good luck leaf's. Hopefully a lot of shit he said was normal bluster to get elected and he ends up reverting back to his inner international banker.
I have yet to find a PM of my country I actually like and it sounds like Carney will be no exception to that opinion. He certainly has the lack of charisma and cringe down to be Canada's "leader".

It isn't like politicians are known to go back on their word... right?

What will all the PP retards cry about now that Carney wants to axe the carbon tax on consumers as a career economist? Or have they already started packing to join America anyways?
The reason why people like Poilievre is simple:

  1. He presents a problem that we're all dealing with that goes largely unaddressed by the current government and, if it is addressed, the solution is ineffectual.
  2. He presents a perfectly reasonable solution to the problem that seems feasible to implement.
That's it. It's not hard for Liberals to do this. If Carney can start doing that, people will vote for him. I'll vote for him I don't give a shit, between you and me I just want my groceries to not be so fucking expensive and I want my rent to go down, but until he can start to consistently do that I think it's safe to assume that much like his predecessor who he advised for, a lot of what he says can be openly dismissed as bullshit. It's just exceptionally difficult for anyone to believe the Liberal party after all these years. There is a whole decade of bullshit, it is a monstrous gap of mistrust that people have to cross and that will only start to heal when the Liberal party can start to take some accountability and can start implementing some changes. I don't really want to give them that chance and much of Canada at this juncture feels pretty much the same.
