Apparently Gregor Robertson (Former vancouver mayor) is running as a liberal candidate. This is one of the chief architects of why vancouver is such a shithole nowadays, early supporter of 'safe supply' and (((tax collector))) as he raised property taxes by almost 150% among other things

Update: my "Conservative" mother just pulled out the "we're a nation of immigrants" card and said we "need them because we're not having enough kids", completely ignoring how it's because of all the immigrants flooding the country.
We're completely fucked and Boomers are entirely to blame.

A lot of people criticize the 'colonizers' for coming in and making their own culture dominant in the country, but then they'll turn around and praise other cultures nowadays for moving to Canada and refusing to conform to Canada's culture.

We'll see how your mother feels once the Islamic immigrants finish dominating Canada's politics and start forbidding women from speaking in public. (That or it becomes like Italy where women are getting raped by immigrants on huge levels.)
 
Update Part 2: She pulled the "but they're such hard workers" card which ignores that they're a fucking slave class that don't have a choice. Conservatives are really not beating the "Lib Lite" allegations.

One has to be fully delirant to believe in astounding promises like “deporting millions”. Even if they are illegals and, as such, deportation wouldn't violate their human rights, it would still take massive manpower and logistics to actually follow through with that.

Trump, the AfD and other populists know those promises earn them votes, but they also know they are, in practice, impossible to deliver, that's why they've never intended to do so. They simply lied to get votes.

A populist electorate is a crooked politician's dream.

In all frankness, Carney can't speak English either. His fluency only goes as far as Neoliberalise, hence his inability to form half-a-sentence or a clause.

i missed the part where we had to give rights to crooks entering our country illegally or where anyone like trump cared about that considering the super prison. if youre here illegally were now going to diddle your asshole and throw you into a dark hole with no hope. and thats a good thing.

Anyone over 40 is a complete moron in this country, and most under 40 are as well.

Well point out "youre flooding the job market with Indians, people literally can't get jobs, every entry level job is flooded with thousands of Indian applicants.

Literally, teens and young Canadians in their 20s (college aged) are not getting jobs or not able to get jobs

Older Canadians arent able to get jobs, break into the proper job market, because you're competing with the entire third world at this point. Most the entry level administrative jobs in major companies are staffed by Indians willing to work in awful conditions

You can no longer rent a room anywhere- we went from $500 to $1500 seemingly overnight,

Young people are forced to move back into their parents places.

You'll never own a house, never progress in your career- never even start it;

and then they have the audacity to ask 'why aren't you having kids, oh no we need more third world migrants to fix the problem'

The great replacement is literally not a conspiracy in Canada, its unironically the reality. I can remember at the start of covid, I thought that for once, as a millennial, the job market was opening up, the boomers were retiring, and maybe there'd be more career progression for myself and more young people would be able to start actual careers.

And then we get 4 years of DEI, over taxation, and Indians being shipped in to replace everyone on top of covid, and now we have the Trump tariffs as well.

Conservatives my ass, unironically.

So WEF, Century Initiative, Goldman-Sachs alumnis, Blackrock, Brookfield, and I'm sure Blackstone all represented from day 1 on the LPC side.

There just isn't any cope left in the tank to deal with whats coming. Carney is going for globohomo speed run champion on this one and PP will just doing it in the slow lane at maybe 50% the speed. Maybe that gives you time for an exit strategy if you need one but both paths lead to the same place.

Side note: tiny home weirdo municipal griefers and bugmen who want to live in something worse than a shipping container are *ecstatic* that Carney will lift importation restrictions with China and start importing chinesium cancer pods for the new white favelas.

Funny how regardless of their stated politics the boomer agenda always 100% aligns with the globalist agenda at every social and economic inflection point of the past 40 years.

Even when its throwing their own children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren into the flames. "But why did you make us do that to you??".

My parents are early Gen Xers and they are fairly good on politics, just the Trump tariffs have made them intensely dislike Trump.

I got them to admit that the main benefit to the Tariffs and future annexation is that all the Jeets will flee south / fuck off back to the subcontinent.

Their neighbors are boomers and now have giant Canadian flags hanging outside their garages. Never saw this kind of patriotism when the Trucker convoy happened a few years back.

This is the bullshit I deal with in the US too. It's just infinitely worse in Canada. As an American born and raised in America who has only ever lived in America I have to compete with thousands of Indians for any job I apply to. Right here in Texas.

One thing this has all done is finally prove to me that typical Canadians are far dumber and more ignorant and vile than the dumbest of dumb Americans.

With the new crop of flag waving patriots its just a signal that says "I got mine" nothing more. Those people could give a fuck about anything Canadian and never have in their entire lives.

Imagine working so hard to undermine your own nation, culture and national identity and then waving a flag like you're Terry Fox because orange man said out loud "hey, you guys suck - at everything and everyone knows it." Currently in the process of having a vote to prove it.
 
This election and the coronation of Carney has convinced me that this country is doomed to mediocrity. Even after a decade of economic stagnation and a declining standard of living, people are going to vote for the same party again and none of the policies will change.

I wish I had gotten out after finishing university like so many of my classmates did. I only stayed and turned down US job offers because my family and friends are all here.

I honestly think Canada's biggest problem is that our best, brightest, and most motivated citizens leave. Hell, I have even seen it with my own immigrant coworkers. Multiple coworkers have gotten their citizenship and then left to go work in the US on a TN visa. Canada was just a temporary stop for them on their way to the country they actually wanted to immigrate to.

Even Carney himself was educated in the US, worked for a US bank, and sent his kids to US universities. He realizes just as much as anyone else that Canada is a 2nd rate backwater. Too bad he hasn't actually put forward any policies that would change our trajectory and make ambitious people stay in Canada instead of jumping ship like he did.

I've been saying this for a long time. The brain drain is real, and look who we are electing as proof. Even our politicians are lame. Everyone with talent and drive moves south at the first chance. Why would you stay? Less pay, more taxes and worse quality of life? You just love winter?

Nah it's usually the Shitlibs that end up leaving for the States.

The best ones are the one who despite the hardships make Canada home. Aka the working class that can't afford to leave. (No where to go cause Europe would rather have non whites than remigration from New World)
