It really can't be understated how significant the Con turnout for NL is. I'm slightly more optimistic now than I was before. All it takes is for Ontario to be Ontario to make that all for naught, though.

I get it now. There is something so self-righteous about this country and its people by large. They have all the smugness of the Brits and the French but without the centuries of Imperialism and being a former world power to fuel that.

Every "democracy" in existence is like that, especially in the West. It just so happens that Canada exemplifies that smugness and unwarranted self-importance the most, but in fairness, it's always in competition with the other Four Eyes nations to see which one is the most insufferable.

I didn't vote do to having no faith in politics. I'm confused as to why someone else with no faith in politics would vote.

Conservatives are actually doing better than expected in Atlantic Canada. It's still mostly liberal but a lot less than anticipated. Hopefully a good sign for the rest of Canada.
