Canada is a failed state

Alberta has been footing the bill for Ottawa's schemes and social programs for the last 40 years or more. I totally get the sentiments. I guess we'll see. Do you figure Alberta would stay independent or would the US gobble it up as North Montana or something?
I don't think there's a lot of support for joining the USA, but they're already a strong ally of Alberta, which was one of the smartest things Ralph Klein did as premier.

With most of the separatist sentiment coming from not wanting people elsewhere telling us how to live, joining another big country, even with the US constitution providing stronger rights to the states than Canadian provinces have under confederation, it would be trading one plantation for another to a lot of people. We have the resources to stand alone, so we don't really need either Canada or the USA to thrive.

We're on the cutting edge here. I don't think a first world country has ever had parts split off outside of like France and the UK decolonizing after WW2, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd be worried as an Albertan that the US might just decide they want your oil and more places to dump H1b's, and with a population of around 5 million, there wouldn't be much of a fight. I'd like to hope the US under Trump wouldn't do something like that, but who knows?

If they decided to invade, I'll wave the stars and stripes from my porch. Still beats being part of the failed joke that is Canada. And we already have more jeets than the US would force onto us. Ever been to northeast Calgary?

Not in close to 20 years. I imagine it's not even the same anymore. Is Fort McMeth full of jeet methheads now?

"Saar, please do the needful and redeem for me a tin of butane saar so I may redeem my meth!"

It's been almost 30 years since I was last in Fort Mac, so I can't really say, but it seems likely with all the boiler room recruiters calling me with $20 per hour jobs up there requiring a comp sci degree.

Northeast Calgary is so jeet-infested these days that there are McDonald's locations that don't have a line in their drive-throughs in the mornings, and there are probably 2000 Indian restaurants east of Deerfoot now.

The money order people might get their panties in a twist over that. British Albertkatcheitoba is the best I can come up with while at the moose factory. Or you could just call it Albertkatcheitoba and sink BC into the pacific.
Hear me out......

I was in FM last year for work and its not THAT jeet infested, since jeets are incapable to manual labour, but there are still to many of them.
BC will not separate, as Vancouver is as libtarded as it gets, and the rest of the prairies are too cucked to buck. Alberta wil break away and stand alone.
It will probs just end up being Alberta and Sask. If they where based they would go rape BC, but who am I kiding. I can see Manitoba MAYBE following, but idk. And of course that would entail Quebec separating, leaving Ontario, BC, the territories (not that they matter), NB (minus the french part) NS, PEI, and N&L to pick up the slack for canada.

That's lazy, Sudan-South Sudan shit.

The Rocky Mountain Confederacy
Here’s my retarded hypothetical: Vancouver joins with coastal Washington and Oregon to become the Democratic People’s Republic of New Sodom. Meanwhile, Alberta and the rest of BC join with Idaho, Montana and Eastern WA/OR to form Cascadia, with plans to annex the Yukon and Alaska.

I could see it starting a chain reaction. If Alberta goes, I could see the prairies wanting to join Alberta or separate on their own.
I still think it's wild we have talk of 'berta becoming independent and the independence movements in Quebec have been dead for 15, 20 years.
The Diagolon guys like Ferryman's toll are correct on Alberta Independence. They need to hold the vote and fail at.

So they realize that separating won't solve their issues, only localize it. You don't think the Alberta / Western Elites won't continue to import Jeet slaves by the millions?

Because the people out here want to actually solve all the problems that were caused by federal immigration policies and we value our culture and traditions, dipshit.

Weren't they just some streamer's larp to sell buttons and patches and not a real group? Correct me if I'm wrong.
They have a Second Sons Active club now, which is more vetted.

I sympathize with your concerns but separating is not the answer. Working with your fellow Canadian Nationalists is the only way forward.

Separation involves teaming up with Faggot Cuckservatives and Jeet Small Business owners.

Enjoy the Alberta becoming Khalistan there friend. Calgary is the fastest growing area of Jeets.

That's why I'm skeptical of Alberta independence despite my support of it. It would require a complete institutional overhaul, which would necessitate a change to a republic and shed any vestiges of the crown. Unfortunately, Alberta is just as saturated with (provincial) government employees who will fight tooth and nail to keep the status quo as well as too many with a rose-colored view of Canada as a whole. This country cannot be saved because no one wants to take the drastic measures needed even address the structural issues. For all the lip-service the neoliberals give to change, they benefit too much from the persistent stagnation and conditioned the populace to accept its miserable lot so that they will never demand actual accountability. Separation only shifts the problem from Ottawa to Edmonton.

Granted, Smith is far more practical on the issue of immigration and I trust her more than I do Carney.

I don't know Smith well enough to be able to say if WEF money would sway her. People might have convictions, but everybody has a price to buy their silence or compliance.

Smith knows her entire political career depends on her not pissing off the right wing voters of Alberta. What she did that helped give the province to the NDP for four disastrous years is something the people here will never forget, and aren't even ready to consider forgiving yet. Hell, there are people I know who wouldn't vote for her and will just stay home on election day until she's gone because of the damage she did.
