i like dork, his content is pretty good when he's not being a whiny shitlib (which is less and less and less frequent now) but this canada video just made me depressed. it's like watching what's happening to the brits, i just see a bunch of white people stuck in a race traitor country where their interests have been sold out to the lowest bidder willing to send a thousand jeets to replace them. i already knew the 'justice' system in canada was laughable, but it's heartbreaking to see it in action, just like it is here. my thoughts and prayers, tonight will go out to the canadian people who deserve it, because there's no way things can just stay like this forever. i assume canadians DO have a boiling point, despite being so far north, and they must be reaching it by this point, right?
 
I cant even be angry at the state of this soon-to-be frozen shithole anymore, it just goes straight to depressing. Between the fact I’ll never own a home, the healthcare system buckling under the weight of bureaucracy and a surging migrant population, and the fact I swear to god none of the public services can go more than 2 years without going on strike? It’s fucking exhausting.

And now I have the worry that I may be arrested for a shitpost because this is one of the few sites where I can talk about my hobbies and not have to deal with a hugbox - granted I’m on record that the only people C-9 is going to hit are either already on the Leaf Feds radar, or are being dipshits under real names on more mainstream websites than our little sandbox, but I know better than to have hope.

Quite frankly, the only reason I’m not taking the Doompill on the whole “Canada will be a Police State” bit is the knowledge that we’ll likely be broke by the time that gets all set up, and setting the money printer to brrrr at the level that would require would likely put us on Zimbabwe levels of inflation, and I doubt Uncle Sam would appreciate a Failed State that shares that large of a (largely unsecured) land border.

I've been so distracted by the troonacy in the USA and the Immageddon of the UK I didn't even realize Canada was only a few steps away from becoming the Jeet thunderdome. That's awful.

I think the backlash to that insane underage groomer role play forum video he made and it subsequently getting taken down by youtube really set him off to the insanity going on. And if his country is currently in the process of being drowned by Indians who all get special benefits that Canadian citizens themselves cannot use, can't blame him. I really was quite surprised how little he held back in his vid.

Bykovets (2024 SCC 6), the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that police cannot ask an internet service provider (ISP) or a third-party intermediary for identifying information tied to an IP address unless they already have judicial authorization.That means one of two things:- A warrant (Criminal Code s. 487 or 487.014), or- A production order under s. 487.014–487.0195 of the Criminal Code, depending on what they are after (subscriber data, transmission data, etc.).Imagine police suspect that a user on X is posting hate speech. Before R. v. Bykovets, they could ask X or a related service provider for the IP address tied to that account without any judicial oversight. This was already difficult because X is an American company, as are Meta-owned platforms and Substack. Canadian police must send a request through the Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters (MLAT) process, and to fulfil that request, the alleged offence must be a crime in both jurisdictions. Once police obtained the IP address, they could trace it to an internet provider, match it to a subscriber name, and begin investigating the person behind it.
