Canada is a failed state

I think you're right about that. I've read on reddit (I know, I know) that MPs from all parties are being bombarded with calls, emails, and even letters from constituents demanding reductions in immigration. So the Liberals have obviously determined to do the absolute minimum they can be seen to do to placate this mass anger while still working to turn us into an impoverished minority in our own country.

I would rather see MPs bombarded Uncle Ted style. (In Minecraft)

Ever have bedbugs? You have to basically turn your home into an oven to get them out, literally uninhabitable for any life. I think that's how most of the Indians are going to be pushed out.
An alternation from this is taking medicine which makes the blood toxic to the parasites, which eventually starve to death or die of poisoning, likely the latter.

What avenue can u possibly do to steer people away from the current government if not for the obvious issues in our country right now? Lots of my friends and family have explicitly stated that troons are mentally ill perverts, and immigration is at insane unsustainable levels, but still say they will vote NDP/Liberal next election. Its mind boggling, especially when its not even a question their quality of life is diminishing because of the current regime.
not that long ago, in the Victoria Times-Communist, the proprietor of Victoria's last remaining reupholstery shop is closing down. He was a former mayor. He was disgusted with the crime and disorder downtown.

His main reason for closing down? He wants to run for public office.

OK, so what is this man running for?

THE FUCKING FEDERAL LIBERALS. THE SAME FUCKTARDS THAT ENABLED THE PROBLEMS AROUND HIM FOR YEARS.

:stress: (:_(🤮
ye gods, so close and yet so far...

I don't disagree that the current practice of legally enabling drug use is an abysmal failure that has only increased harms for drug users and the wider society, but forced treatment isn't the answer. If you want such a program to stick in the courts, you need to amend the constitution to modify the right to security of the person. There is just no universe in which compelled medical treatment would be constitutional, except in the very limited set of circumstances in which a person poses an immediate threat to harm themselves or others (e.g. psychiatric commitment of suicidal people).

In addition to being blatantly unconstitutional, it just won't work from a medical standpoint. The only real barrier to an addict's sobriety is their own will to become sober; if an addict doesn't want to become sober there's nothing you can do to compel him to sobriety. A majority of currently addicted persons don't want to become sober, although many of them may reach that point some time in the future. Even the best treatment programs attended voluntarily only have success rates of something like 20-30% anyways. A return to emphasizing law enforcement would be a much better idea, as first contact with law enforcement has historically been one of the first steps in many addicts' road to recovery.
The funny thing is Canada's constitution isn't worth the paper it's printed on. All a province would need is The Notwithstanding Clause to make this happen, and renew it every 5 years. And if they can't be forcibly treated, there's always the concept of a padded rubber room if they're violent.

I have a feeling Canada would eventually end up a cold hellhole with shit filled streets, poor infrastructure and rapists everywhere in a matter of a few years
This has been my walk to work for a straight year now. Everyday you can see the percentile decrease in society.
I expect civil war in Canada very soon
I mentioned this a couple times. This time last year I had what I can only describe as a prophetic nightmare. I woke up in a sweat, and I was hyperventilating. I just saw everything around me burning. Just senseless chaos and destruction. Slaughters in the streets. Very race related. It was a genuinely harrowing experience. It felt too specific, too real. Felt like within the year, something would happen. I’m very thankful it started with the UK, we aren’t far behind.
I’m not usually a superstitious, but I’m certain I was got a warning of what’s coming in.
I think there could be a splitting of the provinces in the future
A decade ago I wanted northern/southern Ontario to separate, I’m going to live to see all my FUN ideas get put into practice.

Forced medical treatment for addiction would be unconstitutional as it would violate your right to security of the person. Also addicts would still have access to drugs in prison.
Yeah, it's just shit Higgs is talking about. Probably just more bullshit and hot air like most politicians, but it's better than what we're currently doing which is giving them drugs, needles and places to shoot up.
I personally felt it wasn't a big deal back in 2013.
Now it's.....holy fuck.
It was starting as early as like 2007, 2008. Traditionally white middle class neighborhoods and some lower class ones slowly start to get replaced by Chinese then Indians and other south Asians. It's like that in 90% of Canada too. They'll buy or rent a few houses or apartment, stuff them full and when neighbors move out rinse and repeat.
For the liberals, many already have private security for their apartment blocks (you can evidently see where this is going)
Nigga, they got security guards armed with mace and batons at the Dollarama. Mind you this isn't Toronto or anything, this is a rinky-dink assed Atlantic Province city.

I've been to those! I'd guess Halifax but everyone guesses Halifax when Security and Rinky-dink are used.
Wrong province. Smaller than Halifax and now most of it is just as rough as the rough parts of Halifax were around 2010, 2011ish. I see more freaks and junkies when I'm out and about in my town now than I saw on Gottingen street when I was in Hali 15ish years ago.

Toronto already exists.
Yeah. And I fear Alberta would end up like Toronto. I often contemplate leaving the country because of it's collapsing infrastructure, inflation and overall bad weather I won't be able to survive in anymore. I really hate having to leave Canada behind but I might have to move to Mexico or somewhere.

I have said it before and I will say it again: before learning Espanol and moving to a place notorious for people disappearing and being mass beheaded try learning French and moving to Drummondville or Saguenay. Short of that there are plenty of places in the provinces east of Quebec that are quite lovely or even small towns outside the big metro areas in Ontario / Alberta / BC that aren't broken.

I will never understand complaining about weather, places with "good" weather attract homeless like flies to a pile of shit.

I love going outside for walks and doing that in the winter cold is strenuous. Plus, I hate slipping on ice.
My fantasy escape plan would be to just move to a rural acreage somewhere in the north and then just pretend the rest of the country doesn't exist at all. Someplace in northern BC or the Yukon.
It's probably for the best. If I can't find a safe haven in Mexico. I'll just go to Northern BC.

Total Pajeet Death...you could run that and win power in Canada by the sounds of this thread.

Have you asked them why they think voting for NDP/Liberal next election is good idea? Or who they think is responsible for all their issues? Have you tried simply calling them idiots?

The biggest question left to me is who will bail out Canada when the government finances finally collapse? Greece had the EU and Germany. Who does Canada have?
We here, to the south, in the Good Ol' United States of America are happy to finish what the great President James Madison and Old Hickory Andrew Jackson started. A 60 state United states is the only future possible!

Greece is one thing, but I think we'd have to look at it province by province.

I think areas like Toronto are and will further become similar to cities like Lisbon, London, etc. That trend will accelerate and I'm sure that there will continue to be white flight, and other than rich liberals and brown people, noone will live there

For the liberals, many already have private security for their apartment blocks (you can evidently see where this is going)

I think that if things are to stabilise, which they will, gated communities and apartment blocks or people living in more rural areas are going to become a real norm. Even in Mississauga now, I see certain retirement villages that are entirely cut off with a guard at the entrance to the gated neighborhood.
Literally becoming third world were the rich live in walled compounds and the poor form vigilante groups to police their neighborhoods.

Well, they've done it. BC United, or The Artist Formerly Known As The BC Liberal Party, is dissolving. This must be unprecedented in Canadian history for a major party that is still the official opposition in the legislature, especially with less than 2 months until the election. The BC Conservative Party is high in the polls, despite only having 5 seats in Victoria, all of which were defections from BC United, not a single seat won in the last election.

I'm still planning on pinching my nose and voting for the BC NDP. Even though I disagree with almost all of their platform, the NDP is the only party I trust not to end rent control. I pay unusually low rent for the Lower Mainland due to a confluence of factors, and if rent control is ended then my rent will increase by 2-3 times overnight. Rent control means more to me personally than all other issues combined.

In a seismic shift in B.C. politics, Kevin Falcon is attempting to suspend BC United’s campaign in the fall election.

BC Conservative leader John Rustad is holding a media availability at 2:40 p.m. That will be streamed live above.

In a statement, Falcon said he encourages all BC United supporters to unite behind Rustad and the “Conservative Party of BC to prevent another four years of disastrous NDP government.”

“I got back into politics because I wanted to build a bright future for my two daughters and for the next generation of British Columbians,” Falcon said. “Today, I’m stepping back for the same reason. I know that the best thing for the future of our province is to defeat the NDP, but we cannot do that when the centre-right vote is split.”

Nominations of BC United candidates will be withdrawn to enable the Conservative Party of BC to draw from United’s pool of incumbent MLAs and candidates, according to the statement.

*Complains about Indians and government overreach*
*Based PPC supporter*
*Says he is going to move above the treeline and live on acreage*
*Dependant on government enforced rent control to survive*
