Canada is a failed state

The Liberals lost another seat in a by-election. This one was lost to the Bloc, who are even more parasitic group of froggy bastards, but it's the second or third "safe seat" lost in a row.
Fucking hell, is Quebec really in play?

The area from Montreal to Toronto basically decides our elections - Americans ITT, never let them take away the Electoral College, you'll look like us up here in Leafistan if it happens - , and a lot of it might as well be a Liberal Stronghold. This is the second seat in those supposedly Safe ridings the LPC has lost - I think the writing's on the wall that our next election will be a bloodbath, but the question is "Can Trudy read that writing?' If nothing else I think Singh can see that writing, hence trying far too late to distance himself/the NDP from them, but methinks our next election is being pushed back as far as possible, and any further by-elections are going to keep the bleeding going.

I can't tell what's happening in the second clip, what's the shirtless jeet yelling about?
I hear
Man tits said:
You said to me 17, again said to me 19. Why you tell me lie? [...]
I couldn't quite catch the last bit, but I am guessing they were giving him the run-around on moving rates. If so, I'd be pissed too; just more articulate.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if the Liberals fall so far that the Bloc becomes the Official Opposition, like in 1993 when the PCs got virtually wiped out?

I put my industry-grade audio restoration software to good use. You can hear the guys much better now. I have 2 speeds, both processed the same before any time stretching.

I'll try to transcribe it sometime after MATI.

No. Trudeau made it clear that he was not going anywhere before the by-elections because he desperately wants to battle Poilievre in a general election. His response to said by-elections to day was some platitudes about Canadians being "more engaged", which sounded more like he was placing the blame on the voters. Similarly, his cabinet has been trying to downplay it with claims that it was never a safe seat and that they need to "better communicate" with Canadians so that they can better understand what the party has done for Canadians. They have slipped further into delusion and are doubling down on their failures.

how many by-elections have they won? is it possible they will lose every seat in a general election?

I think there was something about next week the Conservatives being able to force a confidence vote, what happens if the NDP realizes they could gain seats in a general election?

Statistically improbable but Kim Campbell led the PCs down to just 2 seats in 1993.

These days there are a lot of 3 and 4 way ties broken by small percentages in Quebec, might as well be a dice roll who wins, so they'll pick up a few of those plus Vanier, Cape Breton, and a few forever Liberal party searts.

It looks like they will lose seats from the models I've seen but they may be likely to scoop a few more seats in downtown cores and become incumbents next time around. The long term goal for the NDP is to replace the liberal party but they are a perma-protest party and it will never happen.

There are enough Truanons and members of the federal service that Trudeau has greatly expanded that will prevent a total, Kim Campbell-style implosion for the Liberals. The most we can hope for is they get reduced to 20-30 seats and knocked down to third party status again. I'd like to be proven wrong but there are just too many idiots who genuinely believe Trudeau's done a good job as PM to inspire any belief. Not that it matters, since the Poilievre Conservatives aren't any better.

Campbell still got 16% of the vote.

From what I could tell, Prostitution and Drug Abuse within Children are more widespread in Alberta than I thought. Parent's seem to give less of a shit that this kind of shit even happens in the first place. I did a bit more research and it turns out Human Trafficking including those involving children has also been increasing in Alberta.

Heck I might consider voting Trudeau because I don't want everyone going back to sleep under Pierre.

Other option is writing in the Bloc Quebecois from Southern Ontario

We're not going to have a snap election Trudeau has somehow convinced the Bloc that he will work with them, and not yeet them to the curb or ghost them the moment he survives the confidence vote.

I have to admit, the Bloc propping up the Trudeau Liberals was not on my bingo card. They have more to gain in Quebec from an election than any other party, even including the Conservatives. Then again, when the Conservatives win their inevitable majority, all opposition parties will become irrelevant for at least four years, so it may be in their interest to exert whatever influence they can for as long as they can.
