I'm thinking Donald's administration might use the tariffs to slash through all the environmental red tape on logging and coal mining. Then once those bureaucracies are slain and Canada has bent the knee, he'll reconcile the situation.
 
It seems Jeremy MacKenzie, podcaster and Diagolon leader, tweeted "War" yesterday then deleted his X account today.

His lieutenant, Ferryman's Toll, quit Twitter 3 weeks ago and remains offline.

I assume they are still using stuff like Telegram, but it seems they've left the normie public square, which I think is unfortunate.

I wonder how long it will take for Canada to collapse due to Trump's tariffs? (...assuming Justin Trudeau wasn't lying about American tariff implementation being the death knell for the nation of Canada).

One of the main power lines through Canada moves partially through the US, though that iirc is sourced from Quebec and goes west from there.

If they totally cut a line to the US entirely I imagine we flip the switch on that power line and refuse to allow Canadian power to transit back to Canada, which just means they'd be turning their own lights off.

But since this is Ontario, I imagine we probably just shrug and use our own power, since it's a less major power source.

The issue will always be that Canada needs imports more than we do, even if I think Canada being more independent of the US overall is a good thing and will force Canada to handle their shit.

A trade war is very different from an actual war. I don't think anyone would tolerate them cancelling an election for just a trade war.

Serious who will stop Justo? We all saw what he did with the truckers protests by the time everything went through the courts which basically said bad justo and that's it . What's the punishment for " delaying " elections in time of crisis?

Wait did he delay elections during COVID? Because if so and the courts let him get away with it then yeah he can do it again. But I mean also why would the Liberals not have the election so they can ride the wave of Canadian nationalism in the face of Trump? Do they still think they are going to lose?

He didn't but then his seat was secure and his wasn't slotted to be crushed like now. They froze accounts and tossed few people in prison for legal speech and completely legal actions after he invoked the crisis something law ( again Canadians please help I am just a tard following the shitshow) to crush the truckers protest.

I get what you're saying but I think that cancelling elections is just so radical that I think they'd actually put their foot down. Then again I don't know Canada so it's anyone's guess.

It's much more likely that instead of anything truly authoritarian, the Liberals install Carney then try to rules lawyer by remaining in power well into 2026 by using the argument that the Canadian constitution technically doesn't require an election until then despite newer legislation cutting it down to Oct 2025.
