It's crazy how a few years ago the very same people that called the people waving Canadian flags, having the flag on their vehicles and supporting the trucker protest racists and nationalists. Fast forward a few years and they are now doing the exact same thing calling themselves patriots and waving the flag not because they have any ounce of nationalistic pride, but because they want to own Trump because he is "authoritarian" to a population not even in his country. Yet when people protested the Canadian government being authoritarian against its own citizens they where either silent or seething on Reddit hoping for violent crackdown on a peaceful demonstration. Pretending to love your country and keeping a party that has economically raped the population, has let millions of people that will never be Canadian into country and has said that "Canada has no identity" is not going to own Trump, it will only prolong the slow and painful demise of the nation. The very people who actually love Canada are either defeated or have left, there is no hope for Canada to ever recover in its current situation. I might reside in Canada when I'm not traveling, but i wouldn't exactly say I am not exactly excited at the prospect of announcing to the world that I am Canadian. I am more embarrassed and ashamed of what has happened to a formerly great nation and proclaiming myself as a Canadian gets harder with every passing day.

You're right but it's worth noting that the farther outside of Detroit you go, the more the state is still a forested Germanic white paradise, and the UP is sparsely populated unspoiled nature, and even the metro Detroit suburbs are full of red enclaves that keep it a swing state every election

Currently CIBC is doing unsecured LOC increases from their historic low of P+~2% up to P+5%. Just like RBC and I think TD too did in 2008. That was a canary in a coal mine then.

Other banks may follow. CIBC does massive Pajeet and "new Canadian" business so they won't care or react and day-to-day its run by Pajeets as far as I can tell.

I remeber AMEX US and Canada started hacking people's limits or closing unused accounts, and even demanding balances straight up. If you have unused credit products be sure to use them at least once over any 365 day period.

From the consumer standpoint its going to be a combination of 2008 and 2020. You/us get 2008 and austerity blamed on tarrifs. The WEF bankers of Canada will get 2020 all over again + bailouts + bail-ins (ie, your bank balances), and money printing. 0% borrowing likely too. The cattle, especially deranged libfags will love it and say look how strong Canadian institutions are.

So far rumors are 2% interest rates by summer and the tea leaves saying Carney wants to double the amount of money being "moved" into Canada by China. BOC just cut rates again 2 seconds ago.

With no real economy Canada is highly vulnerable to basically everything globally as well as anything Trump wants to do. Only way Canada can control anything is demand and mass immigration but that at least theoretically has a breaking point.
