Say what you will about Trump, but he can energize his voters and get even groups that would not vote for him to vote for him (Latinos and black men). I remember when Harper lost to Trudeau. Trudeau was largely voted in because women found him attractive, and Harper didn't even try during his campaign. People found him too boring and he just appealed to the economy. Things had not gotten bad then so people did not believe him. PP had his 'Axe the Tax' that, as someone said, Carney axed because it was a deeply unpopular tax, and he had the economy argument. Harper didn't appeal to Jeets then because they were not a problem then. Now they are because the floodgates were opened in 2015, and you can't reverse shit like that.
