The news on the ground is that turnout was pretty bad.

Even with a decade of social, economic, political mismanagement AND "threats" of annexation are not enough to increase the turnout in Canada.

Lmao.

Not a serious country.

I did my part and civic duty. It's the country that's not pulling its weight.

The problem with conservatives is that they just have no power. Say what you will about Trump, but he can energize his voters and get even groups that would not vote for him to vote for him (Latinos and black men). I remember when Harper lost to Trudeau. Trudeau was largely voted in because women found him attractive, and Harper didn't even try during his campaign. People found him too boring and he just appealed to the economy. Things had not gotten bad then so people did not believe him. PP had his 'Axe the Tax' that, as someone said, Carney axed because it was a deeply unpopular tax, and he had the economy argument. Harper didn't appeal to Jeets then because they were not a problem then. Now they are because the floodgates were opened in 2015, and you can't reverse shit like that.

Worthless faggot country. The future looks so hopeless. And brown. And smelly. Hopeless, brown, and smelly.

The smart people voted last weekend

I get the sense that's coming up. Been a lot of increased talk of western alienation already and a Carney government leaning even more suicidally into Trudeau policies isn't going to abate that at all.
Cons will have a hard time containing it too once Poilievre is inevitably gone because it will become a key factor in the leadership race. There will be a push for a more moderate, Ontario-focused candidate and it's going to cause a revolt among the western provinces who've been now four elections outside of power.
