I'd say invest straight USA. Out of all the economies in the Western world, it seems to be the only one that isn't actively committed to suicide. You could also try developing economies but those tend to just be manufacturing goods and exporting resources to the Western world, so their fate is tied to the US as well.
Watch what Warren Buffet does, and wait. Hes still stockpiling hoards of cash, so the economic chaos isn't over yet.
But yeah, invest where he invests, which presumably will be the USA and will be when everything is
on sale.
Spanish isn't that easy to learn, but it has its benefits and compared to other languages is a piece of cake. I shopped around and was there for a few years, and quality of life was immensely better.
You will miss your home country and the times you had, but whenever I'm back in Ontario, and was quite a bit last year, you realize that the old way of living is practically all gone now, you can see the collapse in real time and compare it to other countries (its not good for Canada), and yeah, I blame the mass migration. Theres certainly other social policies and planning which failed (financialization of housing to the degree it has been financialized in Canada is a big one).
But all this would be moderately tolerable if I knew that the people all around me were all the same ones I grew up with. Some of my friends? OD'd during covid. Others? Gone, to the US. Others? Working dead end jobs. Many? Literally neeting, a lost generation. Some? 'successful' but living in Toronto and paying 40% tax and getting robbed on rent.
I just mean to say that a lot of the social problems would be more tolerable if there was some semblance or sense of community, but its literally entirely gone. The only time you hear about community is with stuff like 'elbows up, time to fight Trump, we're all in this together', and then its conveniently forgotten immediately after the election campaign.
Wheres that sense of community when you're a millennial and you've just been shit out of luck for a decade and a half, struggling, and everyone you know is either completely rootless, poor, dead, or living in one of the hive cities and moved out of the city you grew up in, which is literally becoming unaffordable and now theres Indians moving in to replace everyone?
I hate the 'elbows up' shit because Im just like 'oh what, now
your elbows are up? After all this time? Over a widdle comment from big ol' mean Donald Drumpf? After all this schlock in the country? One little election slogan and suddenly we have to bite down? Motherfucker, youre just going to go back to your paid off house and relax after this. We're the only people out here, with our elbows
actually up, and you fucked us. You boomers and Gen Xers fucked us'
but either way.
