Today I remembered a dystopian novel I've read a few years ago called "The Giver." It takes place in a dystopian society but one that paints itself as an utopia. One with no war, poverty, or suffering, at the price of free choice and emotions. (similar to how canada tries to paint itself as a "post-national utopia").

However, that's not the main similarity I was remind of. In the book there the keepers of the memories and events of the past are called Receivers. The previous receiver before the main character couldn't handle seeing the violence of past humans and commited suicide by EUTHANIZATION, since their society allows medical suicide. Pretty much predicting canada's MAID as the book was released in 1993 while MAID was legalized in 2016.

So yeah, Canada is a literal dystopia. Even if you ignore the 1984 style censorship state it's still very similar to other dystopias. The book also has non-receiver characters see the world in black and white, again similar to canada's whole, post-national "identity."

TLDR: MAID was predicted by a book called "The Giver" and books besides 1984 predict canada's current dystopia.
you have to remember that the Sue Rodriguez case - a woman with ALS who was trying to upend the prohibition on assisted suicide and narrowly failed in a 5-4 Supreme Court decision that same year - was a current affair when that book came out. She eventually had herself ended illegally anyway, probably by (nobody confirmed this but I STRONGLY suspect it) Dr. Ellen Wiebe - a sociopath female version of Dr. Jack Kevorkian who loves abortion more than life itself and also killing people "compassionately" with MAID who founded "Right To Die Canada". Sue had former NDP bundles of sticks MP Svend Robinson by her side when this happened. The doctor was left anonymous because they could have faced criminal charges if they were identified.

Her lawyer tried to argue that the section of the Criminal Code 241(b) allegedly violated the right to section 7 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms - "life, liberty, and security of the person" and Section 12 protection against "Cruel and Unusual Punishment" as well as Section 15 ("equality").
When it was overturned in 2015, the Supreme Court judges in Carter v Canada (AG) ruled that the prohibition against suicide violated Section 7 (which is ridiculous, because killing yourself is the opposite of the right to life, and death does NOT give you security nor liberty).
Technically in Spain and Portugal because of school. But the distinction doesn't really matter, in both places the rent is insane because there's 20 jeets living in an apartment and they can afford 2000 euros in rent if they split. The average person can't.
Also because of tourism and old Americans and Swedish people buying houses but that's a whole separate issue that I don't think Canada has. I read about Chinese people hoarding houses in Canada but it was a while ago and I don't remember the details of it.
In British Columbia particularly, chinese drug dealers and "whales" (Hong Kong Chinese businessmen gambling with drug money to "launder" it) have been buying up British Columbia real estate since the early 1990s. The NDP was complicit then and they're complicit now. They are so complicit, the current NDP Premier David Eby has an "advisor" who's directly tied to the Communist Chinese Party. It's like dude, do you think that guy is giving you GOOD advice?! REALLY? Could you ANY MORE obvious about this please?

Every boomer I talk to about the Jeet Problem just says "well if you're getting replaced by immigrants, it must be because they're harder workers than you! Why don't you live in an apartment with 20 other people? Why don't you work under the table for peanuts?" It's rich hearing that from someone who got hired to pick up sticks in the woods for 200$ an hour and had a house by the time they reached my age. Everywhere I look, I see people who got free rides looking down on those cast aside by the cultureless entity we call a "government." Literally anyone who has a job just thinks "if I'm not the experiencing the problem, then there is none." I hope Carney destroys this place.

To paraphrase an old Chris Rock skit - there’s East Indians, and then there’s Pajeets.

I bring this up because even the East Indian Management at my Wage Slavery is starting to get pissed off at the Pajeets for being fuck ups.

Is it a sign things are turning, fuck no, I just thought it was funny and wanted to share it. If I’m stuck here I might as well enjoy the ride.

They can't even find MamaJF, let alone manage a Gulag.
Yeah, I realised, who are they going to get to guard it? Jeets?

Boomers reaped all the rewards of the things the silent/greatest generation built and then proceded to squander it in less than a generation. They literally are the weak men who create hard times.

Welcome abroad the Carney Cessna, I will be your pilot, Weather outside is a torrential downpour of Blackpills. We are anticipated to make multiple stops over the Subcontinent (to yeet the Jeets in the Cargo hold)

Ive done Spain and it doesnt really have many Jeets, or at least it didn't two years ago.

Portugal is a separate issue as Chega is tied as the opposition (It would be the equivalence of the people's party of Canada) with the soc-dems (their equiv of the libs), with the center right in the majority.

Wish we had that in Canada. Apparently, they will actually cut down on immigration, and I think they've already rejected several thousand people's applications over the past month with AIMA reform.

For Portugal though, its similar enough to Canada in that there is a cost of living crisis and millions of jeets (banglas in particular). I would still point out that Canada is worse, because we took in 6 million Jeets, and for Portugal its like 1.5 million or so?

For Portugal the problem is compounded by the jeets and brazilians in the big cities like Lisbon or Porto, plus American digital nomads and retirees (a bit guilty there)- but if you do live in the small towns, and there's an abundance of them, you can still find properties for rent. If youre in Lisbon maybe youre paying 1000+, but thats Lisbon. For me, I have a four bedroom apartment for 550 euro. Im not even that remote, Ive got a shopping mall nearby, beautiful landscape, excellent coffee, a relaxed lifestyle, etc.

In Spain, it was the same kind of situation, but 375 a month.

So in Portugal and Spain, you do have a microcosm of what Canada has. Toronto and Lisbon are comparable, unironically- the difference is, in Portugal the small cities are still affordable, but for me: If I moved to KW, London, or some other smaller city (even Hamilton), I wouldn't find anything for 500, when I would before covid. In Portugal, and Spain, you still can. It is getting worse, but its nowhere near the level that Canada has.

Poortugal and Spains unique problem that makes things unaffordable is that there are no jobs in either country. So the average Portuguese person or Spainard don't have jobs, and can't even make more than 1000 euro in a month. So because of that, they can't really afford to live in their own countries either. They have a worse job and financial crisis than Canada has and never fully recovered from the 08' recession. I don't want to get to into that, and Spain is sort of much better now, but the amount of neets/ninis theyve had over the past decade and a half is comparable to the lost generation in Japan.

Either way, if you want to compare Europe to Canada, theres similarities- but its separate compound problems, and the jeets in the EU are a drop in the bucket compared to Canada.

Even if I don't have a job in the EU and live with my parents, the quality of life is much better. I can walk everywhere, its beautiful, coffee is like a buck at some cafe, tasty treats are cheap too, everything is cheap, everyone lives with their parents, all the Spainards take a nap between 3:00 and 5:00 (very comfy)- its great, except for maybe the gypsies.

Canada Post union calls for overtime ban as company, workers fail to reach agreement

ayy lmao

Literally striking themselves out of a fucking job. Only people I know who rely on snail mail are boomers who refuse to get their pension payments setup as direct deposits.
This Canada Post strike has gotten me thinking on how the economy is just built around bringing infiintie jeets. See 8 years ago when minimum wage was around 11 dollars. So many of these easy minimum wage government jobs would pay around 15 dollars (e.g working at Canada Post, the LCBO etc). Now since the minimum wage has exploded to 18 dollars, the government can't afford to pay they equivalent. Now those easy jobs pay around 20 dollars. Not only has the different gotten smaller (by 2 dollars) but because of inflation you are earning less. They constantly striking yet most of these union fags all want the infinite jeets to keep coming. The gravy train of getting paid more than minimum wage for simple work is over.

Then there is the point of the increases of minimum wage. It's so that they can help Pajeets keep afloat. Pajeets are not hard workers and only go to simple jobs such as Tim Hortons or Security Guards. Ask any pajeet if they work in a factory or construction and they will cringe. So the government increases it so that the pajeets can keep coming on their "student visas". They make about 2200 a month. 500 to rent, 200 to the slop they call food, and 200 to living expenses and pajeet pockets a net 1300 a month. Whereas normal people don't wanna share a bedroom and want to go out, they pajeet is content living in pods. Even the spics don't want to do the sharing bedrooms. Since the money in the market has exploded. Prices have gone up yet factories can't afford to keep up. When minimum wage was 11 you could make 17 working at a factory. It's now at 21.

I mean even the bike lanes made for the pajeet Uber eats people. Those bike share programs are always in the red and a very few people actually use them. Common sense would be to invest that money in public transit so that it gets faster and is a service everyone can use (especially the handicap). Cyclists the biggest fags and the government uses them to build more infrastructure to help Pajeet Uber eat drivers lol. For every cyclists fag there is 50 pajeets using the bike lane for Uber eats.

This whole economy is just bringing in pajeets, Help them stay afloat, Once they get PR either they go trucking if they can't speak English or they get a job at a bank. And no experience required for any of those jobs because they get hired over real Canadians. Heck the banking industry just full of pajeets. We don't need AI to takeover people's work to save money for companies. Most companies bloated by pajeets doing no real work.

i feel like I'm taking crazy pills whenever i think how the government manages this economy.

Depends HEAVILY on the city, but you're right in the sense that it's mostly Moroccans and Algerians.

Wish we had that in Canada. Apparently, they will actually cut down on immigration, and I think they've already rejected several thousand people's applications over the past month with AIMA reform.
Chega will not do anything. Portugal is the definition of "nothing ever happens". There will be no AIMA reforms because that's too much work and we're lazy.
but if you do live in the small towns, and there's an abundance of them, you can still find properties for rent.
Yes, but there are no jobs in that area so what's the point in living there unless you have a remote job...

Very true. More people should be siesta-maxxing.
its great, except for maybe the gypsies
Surprisingly enough there's been such an influx of beautiful diversity that I don't even think about them anymore.
