You care because you are Americans. The bitching and moaning from every hyphen American down here in the States is the same. There is a fundamental divide among the people who believe they are AMERICANS and the people who happen to live in North America.

The US Civil War was the very first violent expression of the idea of an American people too the exclusion of other people. Which in that particular case was too remind the Americans in the Southern States that they belonged to the American nation first and their hometown second.

I have a feeling the 21st century is going too require another round of "Actually the Americans ARE a distinct ethnic group with a distinct native land. No they dont have hyphens. Yes the blood shall now proceed to water the corn and the apple trees too prove it ".

The Americans in Canada probably won't be able to avoid this next go around of the argument.

Probably late to this: So I was watching the Blue Jays game (Yes, I'm a Jays fan) and I have the Sportsnet broadcast (since I use pirate sites) and Ontario has now resorted to using Ronald Reagan's tariff speech as apart of their tactic.

that's racist, apparently, because retarded postmodernist shitlibs deliberately mischaracterized "colorblind" as instead of treating everybody equally regardless of skin color, to them it now means "ignoring color and thus ignoring the repression on the colors, which is racist because you HAVE to acknowledge that browns have it harder". Recently I was talking to a friend, and funnily enough out of all the friends I've had over the years, this guy is probably the only guy I could actually say "yes this is a Canadian." Very strong heritage and lots of ties to many of the more rural elements of Canada outside of the Americanised shithole of Ontario. He mentioned how he recalls the fact that when he was younger he only knew a total of three black kids his entire middleschool years, and while we had a laugh about it he made sure immediately afterwards to correct himself and add on that "of course it's a very good thing that we're more diverse now." And really I don't know what's more saddening, the fact that we're still quite young but even he remembers a time before this mess or the fact that the few remaining true citizens of this place have been convinced that the erosion of their culture is a good thing. This isn't purely a boomer thing, there are plenty of young people who echo a similar sentiment. White guilt has really went to everyone's heads.

Canada: A Socialist Paradise Lost​

Canada should be one of the world’s best countries to live in, and for many people it once was. Possessing vast natural resources and reserves of energy (exceeding those of the U.S. on a per capita basis), endless natural space (as the world’s second largest country), adequate infrastructure, no enemies, a parliamentary democracy, and an educated population, it should face no problems beyond the winters.

But a decade under the former Liberal leader Justin Trudeau has reduced a first-world country to the level of a failing, although not yet a failed, state. The strains of “O Canada” are giving way to cries of “Woe Canada,” while the recent book by the journalist Tristin Hopper (Don’t Be Canada: How One Country Did Everything Wrong All at Once) documents the national malaise, with many examples of stagnation, incompetence, and folly. Epithets such as “a woke dystopia” and “the sick man of North America” are now heard. Where did it all go so wrong?
Canada’s most urgent self-inflicted problem is the stagnant economy, which has been ailing since 2015. Canada has the largest increases in government spending and the second slowest growth in GDP per capita in the G7, averaging a mere 0.6% per annum for two decades, or half the U.S. rate. Chronic under-investment has produced low productivity, and even government pension plans direct much of their investment toward more profitable U.S. companies in a slow death spiral as manufacturing capacity is hollowed out. Business is mired in red tape, and the jobless rate is at 7%.

Household debt relative to GDP is the highest within the G7. Gross national debt has grown faster than in all advanced countries for the last decade, now increasing at $109 million per day and amounting to over $40,000 per taxpayer for federal debt, plus a similar figure provincially.

The No Tyrants protest has to be the most embarrassing thing Canada has done in a long while because holy shit. Imagine being so shitbrained that you fall for a series of organized and obviously funded protests comprised entirely of white libtard boomers in a country that you keep seething about. And it's not even that things are boring here, Canada has become a fucking organ trafficking state and yet all eyes are on that ohh so pesky evil cheeto man. Can't forget Palestine. I fucking love scrolling through Instagram stories and seeing endless Palestine talk. No mention of the batshit insane stuff that's happening where we are right now. All of our worries are directed everywhere but here.

Speaking of the recent news with the removal of the homeless and their encampments, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the big plan is just to euthanise them all in secret. The officials are getting more and more brave with their MAID talk and I'm expecting things to get pretty interesting around here pretty soon.
 
It looks like Liberal Government might not survive the budget this month.

This is NDP's last chance at relevance. If they don't elect their leader and return to official party status, they are going to remain dead for the foreseeable future.

Bloc is the wild card. They might haggle for extra billion from Fed again. Imagine that.

These motherfuckers at the No Tyrants protest were probably gleeful when trucker protesters had their bank accounts frozen. Ask any of them what they think of Bill C-8 and C-9 and their eyes will glaze over.
