It might be different on the west coast, which is why they fight so hard for logging rights in BC. But east coast if you have a land lot, you can do whatever you want. Because last time I checked, the Irvings aren't native and they run timber in New Brunswick...as well as everything else in the province.Here in Canada, you can only clearcut if you are a native-owned and operated company logging on native land, everyone else is tied to the same rules as the US is.
