Wonder how many years it took them to figure out if they make their food smell obnoxious and gag worthy it'll coverup the smell of all the feces from the unwashed indian hands making it?

This reminds me of when Georgia (the country) had rigged elections which saw the pro-russia 'georgian dream' party get re-elected. One of the things GD did was to remove cameras in election buildings so people had to prove they were stuffing ballots and bribing people to vote for GD on their phones....I thought this was kinda funny at the time but that's now reality in Canada. And unlike regular Georgians who understood the bullshit and protested for a while against the government. Which even if it didn't amount to much in the end, still showed the people of the country wants change. Canadians will cheer on this fascism without self awareness.

That would require affording groceries first lol. I mean you COULD stand in the foodbank line for 6 hours but then all your food has still be palmed through by sweaty shit fingered indians so you don't really gain much
 
Over 300 000 signatures for the Alberta independence petition. Actually not bad given that the requirements were much more stringent than the union-funded glow op petition run by the regime. Also happened during winter, and against a viciously hostile media environment plus the fear of reprisal, convoy-style, against signatories. I'm still pessimistic that the seps will get their asses in gear enough to branch out from being a rural, slopulist, blue-collar movement with no compunctions against having total lolcows and glowies like David Parker and Cam Davies in "leadership" positions of any kind.

We still have to wait for the court order pausing the submission to lift, sadly. But at least it'll be on the referendum and I think we will get the hysterics kicking into high gear some time this month
 
My prediction is that when the World Economy eventually shits the bed and finally goes into a major depression that can't just be magically "fixed" by injecting fake money into balance sheets like 2008 and 2020 that Canada will go down in a huge implosion of fiscal collapse.

I also don't think Alberta will be allowed to have a referendum. Even if they rig it to make sure Alberta stays the mere act of allowing the discussion of secession in such a manner will be seen as legitimizing the "far-right", and I guarantee that the specter of Brexit and the massive embarrassment that was to London is something Ottawa would really want to avoid.

The number collected is in line with expectations and recent polling. It was never going to beat Lukaszuk's ~430k (albeit would've been a five alarm fire for the usual suspects if so), but getting close to it affirms a solid separatist base which in of itself right now is a win.

Disagree. Ottawa sure as hell doesn't want one given the precedence it sets, but Smith does because she wants the idea put to rest through a majority vote - and Smith, not Carney, is the one politican who can permit or deny it. Any attempt at preventing a vote via court shenanigans or diktat from on high will only solidfy and enhance separatist support (which every Albertan conservative insider is keenly aware of). It's also why that referendum is likely to happen sooner than later before future events/crises have a chance to influence provincial opinion.

Smith wants to jump to Federal politics eventually. She can't do that as being the avatar of western separation. Both are walking a fine line, Ottawa does not want to give an inch, lest they embolden other provinces. As well Ottawa has no interest in building pipelines or anything like that. Their current strategy is just to delay and throw tax payer money at it. Carney's strategy is just to wait everything out and hope the propaganda machine fixes things. I get the feeling he's hoping if he waits long enough, he can use immigration to ensure a permanent Liberal government.
 
The craziest thing about trying to debate a Liberal voter about Carney's failures, or whenever he does something that we would expect to see with Trudeau, is their only response is to say the conservatives wouldn't be any better. Like how low of a bar do they fucking have? I'd rather them go mask off and admit that they don't actually want a democracy. That's basically what they're admitting. At least in North Korea everyone knows their democracy is a fucking joke.

Allowing it is fine, there's plenty of ways to fuck with it anyway. During the 1995 one in Quebec, 25% of the yearly total citizenships were given in the month prior to the vote. Overall there was also an almost doubling of citizenships given from the prior years. There were tons of irregularities with votes too, some boroughs had invalid/blank ballots rates up to 11% (the normal at the time was below 2%).
Fast tracking citizenship is probably the strongest weapon against a referendum and it's happening anyway.

The thing is, even with being a democracy, the appointed senate and Supreme Court can fuck over a majority PM like what they did to Harper by blocking or overturning conservative policies.

Pierre Trudeau engineered the perfect dictatorship. His legacy rules us decades after his death, and may he and Queen Elizabeth II burn in hell for what they did to the people of this country in 1982.

Honestly, Canada was just lucky that the rest of the west was decently stable for so long, cuz Canadians have zero survival instincts. If the PRC and EU magically collapsed tomorrow Canada would probably be unable to function.

I think Canadians genuinely hate democracy given that it makes us less like China and China is a "communist utopia" (even though it's closer to a corporatist country if anything). Also because of the democratic backsliding, this probably will prevent us from even submitting a EU application let alone them actually taking the app seriously (assuming they actually follow the actual EU rules of course). This is why Turkey and Georgia had their EU applications frozen as of writing this.

Just finished mine, they mail you a code you need to enter into the census website.

I have no fucking idea how old my apartment building is, google thinks it's still a 3 bedroom house that was built in the 60's and not an apartment complex.
