I was under the impression Null is the guy with access to the website, but I could be wrong. Maybe he has someone that can remote in and reboot the server if it shits up. Or maybe whatever happened a few days ago is a serious issue and the broken quotes is a symptom of that. It's also possible that the downtime was something that could easily be fixed by him and he chose to do that. Iirc, the downtime was just a few hours into when his vacation would have started.
 
I’m noticing this as well, it’s only mildly annoying but I hope it’s fixed soon.

Also, I was going to say that it’s possible that the new hidden profiles feature may be interfering with quoting posts but the example that @Marvin gave makes shuts down that idea due to that user having an open profile.
 
If a post is longer than 1008 characters, including BBCode, it can't be replied to. I got bored and figured it out here.
