I remember the old days, man. When i was younger i would post and reply in some forums, /adv/ was a favorite. I grew up an autistic and troubled youth, so a forum about real advice was always something that appealed to me. I loved how you and others could anonymously be like Wings of Redemption. You could "cut yourself bare, to the bone". You could shout things that you'd normally not even whisper. You could tell the forum that you did something terribly dark, horrifyingly embarrassing, or even just plain stupid. And one or two people, amidst the hundreds of shitposts and loli-spams. One or two glorious human beings, will take it upon themselves to be like "what the actual fuck is your problem, bro", and try to help you. And sometimes it would work. Sometimes advice given would work.

Where the fuck can you find that now? Posting anonymously anywhere is dead, and now you have to be prepared to account for and defend everything you say, across all socials, all the time. Who can you vent your frustrations to, anon? A therapist? Good luck with the nothingburger answers you had your insurance pay for, therapists don't give a shit. Your family? I honestly hope your family are good people and that they can help you with your frustrations. But not all of us are that lucky. Your friends? Lmao your frustrations will be tomorrows locker room banter, even if you don't work together. Whom can you trust? Who can you truly let your guard down around? I have so many things I want to shout, but I cannot manage a whisper.

I have no mouth, and I must scream.

The bad news is that dead internet theory is very real and it has been sanitized for the bots.

The good news is that because it's mostly bots you can shout into the void almost anywhere.

Everyone uses the internet now so it is subject to social engineering and massive botfarm operations to control public opinions. There is also the indian internet theory where they are disrupting discussions as millions of them gain internet access. I think that good communities still exist, but they will just become harder to find, which is one of the few filters that are left.

@VaporFag420 I know that feel. I made it through my studies thanks to 4chan, when the stress got insane it really helped that I could go and shitpost with a bunch of anons. Or rant and get told to calm down, you double nigger. Actually got some good advice from older anons on occassion too. I truly miss that.

it's all in your head bro

The Lord knows my sins better than a priest. Priests just give quicker responses.
And that's where a priest can help you. That plus he himself has sins and has fallen short (which we all have), so he might have experienced a situation that's troubling you.

Even in the paradise of the old internet example you gave, 99.9% of the users in that forum were merely trying to get a rise via lolis or shitposting, with a Good Samaritan popping in once in awhile. This isnt to ruin your nostalgia for it, just saying that people were always ironyposting or trying to play up silly things rather than being serious online.

And what good does a diary do, sir?
The idea is that you commit all your troubles to the paper and you secretly hope that somebody comes along later and reads it, even though they're not supposed to tee-hee. And then that person will be inspired by your struggle and they will go out and pay it forward and change the heccin world. It's some Hallmark Oxygen Lifetime type shit.

If someone else is reading your diary, it's because you are dead or have been abducted to the rape dungeon.

It's because people have become afraid of sincerity and being sincere themselves. Even on 4chan anons aren't capable of sincerity anymore, it doesn't matter that they're anonymous, they still have to keep up a facade of toughness and put the shield in front of them at all times. Everyone retreats to themselves because it's the easiest way to not become hurt. People will even pretend to be retarded as to safeguard their actual views, everything but exposing yourself in the open.

Venting is childish. The fewer people you wanna risk losing by blanketing them with venting, the better.

I experience something at work. I get annoyed. I avoid telling anyone on Discord, and by the time I get home, I've forgotten what it was or it was indeed such a tiny thing.
The Lord gives His response when the priest opens his mouth doe
I quite like the idea of religion but the extremism of christianity is just so off-putting. You can't buy into a few ideas as means to lead your lordly life. Nah nigga you need to accept this bald boy-fucking faggot is somehow a mouthpiece of God. Why? Because he chose to go to university to study it.

Have you thought of creating a characters.ai account? The chatbots can serve as a therapist, friend, partner, and so much more.
