Holy fuck scalpers are fast I looked it up and it said there were a bunch of 4 dollar listings all are sold out within seconds of me seeing the fucking things. There's now a flood of "new listings" on ebay 100 dollars and up. Fuck society.
Yeah I remember trying to find some Dr Seuss books after the latest thoughtcrimes but couldn't find anything for less than $80.

$80 for a single copy of "To Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street."

This just seems like racial groups trying to monopolize content about them and bully people into hiring them.

"I heard you white people are making a ninja show or book or game or movie. You'd better hire our Asian consultant firm/hire an Asian writer or you'll be slandered as racist."

Or "I heard your network is considering airing a white written show about the Chin Dynasty. Cancel it and greenlight this show our friend wrote or you'll be slandered as racist."

Shame they had to cancel Ook and Gluk - that was one of Pilkey's better ones IMO. Pilkey getting on a lefty high horse in the final Captain Underpants book with the gay Harold reveal feels like he's spitting in the face of my childhood, and now this happens.

Honestly, I'm not all that bothered by that. Harold was always a strange kid who came off as more sensitive/too in tune with his softer side than George even for his age, and his haircut is so super gay it was handwaved as just being a bad haircut. Remember that now.

I am so MATI right now that I just need to chill out with a good movie.

Think I'll go with Big Trouble In Little China...that one was always one of my favs

I always thought harold was a faggot tbqh.
Yeah, however they might have an Achille's Heel somewhere?
Reality

Its a fucking shame but I'm pretty blackpilled as it is. We can complain about it because at the moment they hold the keys to the culture castle and they shoot "no fun allowed" cannon at us everyday. And i don't think they'll lose that key until we're old and dying.

An Asian is a ninja. Simple as that. At the same time, if the ninja master wasn't Asian, they would be upset. You can't win.
If a Caucasian or Black kid were a ninja instead they'd be screaming about cultural appropriation instead, but if it's an Asian kid then that's stereotyping & racist.

These wokists have meticulously designed their ideology to always yield a no-win scenario for anything you do. The only winning move is to not care.

I guess the only very thin hope is to see these leftists fighting between themselves once one of them will complain then it's his turn to hold the key...

It's insane that we've found ourselves in this situation in the first place, it's supposed to be a free country but it really isn't anymore.

This shit is straight out of Fahrenheit 451.

I love Michael Moore referencing that with the title of his "Fahrenheit 9/11" documentary, "the degree at which freedom burns" he said back in 2004, the only ones burning freedom today in American society are the left.

This is the big globalist Jew push to turn the high income asian demographic into allies in the slo-mo genocide of whites. The asian elite will play along, to some degree, for their own benefit, but they likely realize that the sooner the whites are conclusively buried the sooner asian nations will be the primary focus of Jewish subversion.

Eh, it's a little simpler than that but you're sorta in the right ballpark.

BLM fucked up a lot of shit in 2020 and the corporate elites and their Woke Left toadies are genuinely afraid of losing the support of the Asian community.

As much as the traditionalist rednecks will bitch and sperg about how "based Asians is totally a cope, hurr durr what r we conserving, hurr durr muh degeneracy", that is irrelevant.

Whether or not "based Asians" is just a cope or not isn't the issue.

The issue is that TBTP and their Woke Left toadies seem to think it might not be a cope and that the mix of Covid lockdowns and black thuggery against innocent Asian civilians plus the BLM coup last year might lose them the support of the Asian community.

Before the trads start attacking me, I want to reiterate that I'm not saying the Asians will stop voting blue as a voting block. What I'm saying is that the corporate neolibs seem to be worried that it could happen. So they're trying to do damage control.

Never read it, so I have no clue what the racism was. Most likely it was these characters:

It's almost like they fucking got you hook, line, and sinker.

When was the last time you had thought about the Dr. Seuss books before that?

Fucking decades ago, but when they decide to not re-issue some old books and not sell their remaining stock of 7 copies a piece, when no one asked them to do that, and virtue signaled all over the internet for some free advertisement and woke Good-Boy Points, you decided to rush out and try to spend some money on their products.

I've seen this take so many times online and it's fucking stupid as hell.
If this shit was about getting people spending money on product it's a retarded way to do it because they're actively preventing people from buying it. The stocks been pulled, dumpstered. the listings on official retail, deleted. even the secondary market scalper listings are getting flagged and taken down by bots as supporting hate speech on occasion. This is more akin to a corporate funded and approved book burning and the scalpers are the vultures moving in for the scraps. If these books ever see the light of day again people will go back to buying them as normal and not really giving a shit.
These are mass produced books by major book companies, there's shitloads of copies to go around, decades worth in some cases. Thousands of these fucking things are out there, millions even. There is no way in hell this shit should inflate to such a degree within a short span of time between the announcement being made that they were being pulled.

Keep telling yourself that.

Sales absolutely fucking skyrocketed [By over 500%] after their announcement, and several of Seuss's books dominated the charts after not having been there for decades.
people will go back to buying them as normal
Which is exactly the fucking point.

"Normal" is people not buying them.

Which is why it was a sound financial decision for them to virtue signal about retiring titles that it wouldn't be economically feasible to reprint on a large scale.
These are mass produced books by major book companies, there's shitloads of copies to go around, decades worth in some cases.
And every single title affected has in fact been around for like 70 years, allowing for more than enough time to fully exhaust their stock of the titles.

Which brings them to the point where they have to decide if they want to once again go into mass production and produce half a million copies of "McElligot's Pool" when they've only been selling 238 copies a week.

Which once they've decided to retire low-performing titles then brings them to the choice between quietly retiring them and admitting that they're slowly drifting into irrelevance, or make an announcement about a hot-button issue reverberating in the cultural zeitgeist that will net them the equivalent of ten of millions in free advertisement, while also insulating them from any future attempt at a struggle session by the usual suspects, since they voluntarily pulled their own books.
