There's plenty of things to not like Elon for but I think doing the minimal-maxing shit on car interiors was the absolute worst thing he's brought to the industry. Just so everyone else can go ahead and cut more corners while somehow saving money with cheap IKEA looking junk.
I bet that's not going away. It's everything modern automaker leadership loves
  • cheap
  • trendy (will quickly look dated and need replacing in the eyes of the trend followers)
  • low-effort

If you could own an electric-swapped version of any vehicle, what would it be?

To me, something that is small and that is traditionally hard to get parts for would make a lot of sense. An electric Subaru Brat would be a fun around-town vehicle.

Mazda revealed the new CX-5 this week, and decided to go literally full-on Chinese car interior by ditching their rotary knob for a GIANT ASS SCREEN with minimal physical controls:
Funny, I had a Mazda guy talking to me a few days ago about how Mazda is the best with interiors and about how they aren't giving up their buttons and dials and that I should consider one for my next car. Probably should go find what bridge he is on.

The OG brat maybe but the later got the turbo brat and it was kick ass and slept on.

While I don't like elec only, I think I'd love an OG elec swapped to new stuff. I mean 1900s era. Can you picture it?People swap model Ts with LS turbos..why not baker elec with an Elon swap?

Aside all that, the civic has been on my lift for like 4 days its hot I'm not working on it or anything.

Haggard Garage uploaded for the first time in years and encountered their first tranny. (Timestamp integrated)

Well, I’m finally getting my heater core fixed after like 4 years. It’s a dash out job and I’m looking at $1500, but I’m going on holiday on Wednesday down south where it will be colder, so it has to be done. Ditto the fact that I often work nights, and the car is pretty miserable to drive with no heat.
