LMAO at the Tories being more pro-censorship. I want to see them trying to square that with their take on the Culture Wars. The questions in that survey read like they've been formulated for OAPs.

Ok, what the fuck kinda dictionary is Carl using over here to call this "centrism"?
The dictionary that says that he and his fans are the Most Normal People Ever™ thus all their beliefs and actions must also be the norm. It's bit like how large numbers of people with diverse opinions all think they're part of the same Silent Majority©.

The fun comes when he tries to elaborate on his 7 Faeces Theses. He'll ramble on for long enough that you'll get different answers each time he recites them, if he even bothers to put in the mental work. I'm sure he tried to write/crowdsource a manifesto back in the Liberalistism days (the 'Screenlight Manifesto' iirc - yes it's ripping off Streetlight Manifesto) but I can't find any evidence of it any more. All I recall of it is that it was a public Google doc that started out as a copypaste of some other manifesto/bill of rights and was closed to public edits a few days after I added a couple of things to it. It was linked in one of Carlgon's vid descriptions.

I really fucking hope that this tweet is fake and that he did not actually tweet this.

Went through his timeline, even looked at the reply he's quote-tweeting. Couldn't find anything showing he tweeted that and he's telling everyone showing that exact same screenshot that it's fake.

Without something at least a bit more concrete like an archive link or something, it'd be difficult to say either way, though personally I doubt he'd be stupid enough to directly compare like that.
His stupidity is more 'big-brained' stupidity, like claiming Napoleon was also a sensible centrist, or pulling a leftist tactic and saying a quote made in favor of LGBT+ is the same as pro-pedo quotes if you remove all context of it.
Which, regardless of your thoughts on LGBT faggotry or pedoism (and the size of the woodchipper required for them), removing context to compare a quote is a retarded-ass thing to do. He should know better.

EDIT: Archive links for 'Napoleon was a centrist' (also see the 'big brained' Caesar was a centrist' take from Academic Autist as well.)

And the 'removing context means I can equate your statement to pro-pedo talk.'

Thanks for making me look at his timeline to check :suffering:

He does know better. He's just barely smart enough to do that on purpose and his fanbase is dumb enough to not notice or care. He's long embraced the principle of it's ok when we do it.

LMAO at the Tories being more pro-censorship.
This is just an example of how "left" and "right" don't refer to the same positions in different countries. The Tories under Thatcher increased censorship in many ways - many films were banned on home video, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had to be the Teenage Mutant "Hero" Turtles, and Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams' voice was banned from broadcast (this was circumvented by having an actor dub over what he was saying with the exact same words). These things were reversed when Tony Blair was Prime Minister.
The recent attempt to censor the Internet for pornography was put forward under Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron, so it's not exclusive to the Thatcher era. That's why the recent excessive influence of the pro-censorship far Left coming from US universities is such a problem - it would leave us with two pro-censorship parties.

"Napoleon and Caesar were centrists because they straddled both the Right and Left"

So did Hitler and Mussolini, you dummy. Political theory and practice are both a bit more complex than boiling it all down to "black, white and gray" and trying to dance around semantics. If you want to be taken seriously as some political philosopher then it might be useful to expand your grasp of the subject beyond the left-right dichotomy.

Whoever said that Sargon's views on a given topic are ripped straight from the last thing he read was absolutely correct. He's trying to crowbar modern happenings and trends into antiquated moral and political theories he just discovered and it doesn't fucking work because his understanding of both is so poor, yet he does so with a very tangible air of unwarranted self-righteousness.

Honestly, I'd say he's more insufferable and delusional now than he ever was before, he's just learned from bitter experience to contain it better. No more highly public and embarassing Gamergate 2.0 and UKIP campaigns, but a lot of deranged pontificating in his own little niche he's withdrawn into. Somewhere around the 2015-2016 mark he started going off the deep end egowise and it's shocking how unhinged his views and statements appear compared to like eight years ago, when he at least seemed he could largely understand and coherently articulate a consistent liberal worldview instead of bouncing all over the place.

I mean Sargon’s been pretty open that all the things on the left causing the current issues need to be censored put of exsistance.

And even the people on the left agree. They just can’t say it.

Ah yes the classic "this guy from history was totally like me and if he was alive today and saw me he'll totally support me".

For context, Fr. Calvin Robertson is an ostensibly fake priest who's now a presenter on GB News, the Daily Mail of UK news channels. Albanians are the UK right's current target for their Two Minutes of Hate, ever since it became fashionable for them to get smuggled into the UK.

I don't think he has learned anything. I've said this before: he hasn't so much changed for the better as much as he had the wind taken out of his sails with his election loss. It really dealt a blow to him, destroying his delusions of grandeur and shattering his dreams. He has more just been in a depressed state the last few years, going along with his schtick while knowing deep down that all his fantasies and hopes aren't ever going to come true.

Maybe his ego is rebounding and he once again thinks he can climb to the top. We'll see where this saga goes now that he is back on Twitter.
