i'm honestly a bit surprised that so many people are defending him.
i know i shouldn't be, seeing what a mess this fandom is, but i remember when people went after him when they found out he owned cp, and now everyone's acting like he did nothing wrong.
also, there are more furries talking about others celebrating his death than those who actually do celebrate his death. it's kinda funny to me.

Perhaps there's a sense of remorse and a feeling of contributing to the death of another person? Even if the dude was a pedo, it doesn't feel great to think you might have helped push him over the edge. Perhaps that's why so many of his more vocal antagonists appear to be so quiet on the subject.

Meanwhile, your average Tumblr user would double down and openly celebrate. You be the judge on which of those groups is worse.

Both of you hit the nail on the head there. And furries wonder why, in Anno Domini MMXVIII, people still have utter loathing and contempt for them... this kind of stuff is one of the reasons why.

Like, it just astounds me how the furry fandom can reconcile all kinds of horrific behaviors (rape, CP, beastiality), yet somehow being slightly right to Mao and Stalin makes you an irredeemable monster in their eyes nowadays. Yet a creepshow like Zaush can get away scot free with CP and rape, simply because he draws good. Or people completely ignore the fact a person like RC had CP and even reoffended not that long ago, on the exact same charges.

Talk about fucked up priorities.

Why are people calling someone who clearly got off to diddling children a hero? Can someone explain that to me?

Sure, maybe if he redeemed himself by going out heroically like going into a burning building or stopping a shooting or something, i’d be more willing to let the hero thing slide. But the dude admitted to having porn on his computer and it sounds like he even re-offended which is a sign that his pedophiliac tendencies were too strong for him to get a grip on.

An hero is internet lingo for someone who killed themselves. That shit goes back years and comes from a kid who killed himself's memorial page. Some girl who knew him called him "an hero" and the grammar was amusing enough that it spun into a meme.

Ditto. As noted local law enforcement has promised more arrests coming in this case and, I’m sure RC had some of those names.

I know I’m being optimistic but I’m so hoping to see some big furry names in those arrests. And if this led to a raid at Anthrocon I would be all smiles.

I had already heard RC had off'd himself in another thread, well hey, one less creep to deal with. But holy shit, if Boozy Badger doesn't think he's defending a creep and trying to say he's in a grey standing for his view on the man in that article, that looked an awful lot like an entire white knighting if I ever saw it.
