Carrd Autism - When Tumblr meets MySpace

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
The rest of the carrd is pretty much like this, different typing quirks and an ungodly amount of "alters"
Funny how people with "DID" or whatever they're calling it now can summon their alternate personalities at will when they want to update their internet profile thingy.

Also is there a glossary somewhere we can refer to? Because I don't understand half the words on these screengrabs. What the shit is an arospec semificto fuijoshi?

Luckily I'm fluent in Twitter tard language.
Arospec - somewhere on the "aromatic spectrum", aromatic being when you don't feel romantic attraction. Literally no reason for it to be a spectrum; you either feel romantic attraction or you don't.
Semificto - attracted to fictional characters and real people.
Fujoshi - a girl into yaoi / gay shit.
For some reason, a lot of these include "bi/pan lesbians" in the DNIs, and apparently, according to them, it is not a valid identity; in fact, it's rooted in lesbo/bi/pan/whateverthefuck-phobia.
This is really the only sane thing on these carrds. A "bi/pan lesbian" is exactly that: someone who identifies as bisexual and a lesbian at the same time. A shocking amount of AGP troons such as Kevin Gibbs (iirc) consider themselves one, though why exactly I have no clue.

Wouldn't it be easier to just say "bisexual with a female lean"? I guess that's not woke enough.

I also forgot to include this gem in the thread:
tonetags.carrd.co is a carrd that exists to inform us on something called "tone indicators." Initially it started out in Reddit as a singular "/sneed" which stood for sarcasm, but then Twitter thought "hey, what if we could add in a thousand more of them?"

If you've seen things like "/gen", "/j", or "/lh", chances are it's a tone indicator. It's so people know what you meant through text since there's no audio or whatever, because we should treat everyone on the internet as if they're literal toddlers who dont' have a good grasp on internet language. Now, the concept of putting in indicators to let people know whenever a tweet is serious or not is pretty retarded, but pls don't bully them guis, they has autism!! :c

For some reason they even bothered translating it to multiple languages despite most of the demographic for those languages not giving a single fuck about "indicating tone" through text.

There's a lot of overlap between Carrd, fandom, [self] shipping, and kinning communities. Going to sit down and explain some commonly found terms - and why they're used - so people in this thread aren't lost, assuming this thread picks up.

Tag me if you need me to clarify any terms you find in Carrds, or have example screenshots I can add.

K-POP
Thank you @alpro whore for giving me the basic terms, I'm not super familiar with K-Pop terms myself.

Oftentimes the least horrifying thing on these Carrds, most of the people with K-Pop focused Carrds are generally well-adjusted people.

ULT = someone's favourite group
BIAS = someone's favourite member
BIAS-WRECKER = someone's second favourite member

A STAN is a 'stalkerish fan', but the term has been reclaimed to basically be the modern equivalent of 'super-fan'. If someone says they 'stan BTS' or are 'a BTS stan', that means they're a super-fan.

In K-Pop groups, an ANTI is someone who doesn't like a certain group or member, or is 'against' said group/member. "DNI if you're anti my favs" means 'don't interact if you dislike my favourite groups/members"

GENERAL FANDOM
REFERRING TO [JAPANESE NAMED CHARACTER] WITH XYZ PRONOUNS
DanganRonpa related. Three(?) characters are crossdressers - not trans, but crossdressers who identify with their birth sex - and people get pissy if you don't headcanon them as trans and agree with their headcanons.

If a Carrd has "I use she/her for Chihiro" or "DNI if you use he/him or they/them for Chihiro", it's Danganronpa related.

MINECRAFT YOUTUBERS
Commonly found in Carrds. Most popular is 'dream smp', or 'dream survival multiplayer'

DREAM = Minecraft YouTuber. Notorious for having cheated in a Minecraft world record speedrun.
DREAM SMP = Dream Survival Multiplayer, a Minecraft roleplay server that streams on Twitch.
DREAM TEAM = YouTubers involved in the server. Most commonly discussed by Dream stans, in no particular order, are
- DREAM
- TOMMY / TOMMYINNIT
- TUBBO
- GEORGE / GEORGENOTFOUND
- WILBUR SOOT - 'ghostbur' is a ghost version of wilbur, commonly seen in fanart
- ALYSSA / ITSALYSSA
- SAPNAP
- SKEPPY
- RANBOO
- QUAKCITY
- SCHLATT / JSCHLATT
There are other Dream Team members but I'm keeping this short.

Of course, DreamSMP fans tie into kinning, shipping, and self-shipping, along with lots and lots of drama.

I'm Ranboo! IFFY ON DOUBLES!

GENDER + SEXUALITY
"NO PRONOUNS IN BIO" = they think you're transphobic if you don't have your pronouns in your bio either because 'gender =/= pronouns' or because 'it means you don't show solidarity with trans ppl'

MLM = man who loves men
WLW = woman who loves women
NBLNB = nonbinary who loves nonbinary
can be mixed and matched, e.g NBLM = non-binary who loves men

EXCLUS / EXCLUSIONISTS / EXCLUSIONARY, BI/PAN LESBIANS
An exclusionist is someone who 'gatekeeps', AKA 'you need dysphoria to trans', thinks that asexual people aren't inherently LGBT on their own, doesn't like nounself pronouns ("pencil/pencils/pencilself style pronouns"), etc. Because how dare someone have their own opinions and not give into the hivemind!

Carrd users will typically have EXCLUSIONISTS DNI in their DNI list... along with 'ARE OR SUPPORT BI / PAN LESBIANS'

A bisexual lesbian or pansexual lesbian is someone who follows the 'split attraction model' [SAM]. Under this model, if a guy is romantically interested in men and women, but only sexually aroused by men, they'd be considered "biromantic homosexual". A woman may be an 'aromantic lesbian' who doesn't feel romantic attraction and just wants pussy. So on. Don't ask me how it works because I have no clue.

For bi / pan lesbians, in this case, this is oftentimes someone who is romantically interested in men and women, but can only be aroused by women.

Mind you, claiming to be a 'biromantic homosexual woman' is fine apparently, but not a 'biromantic lesbian woman'. Splitting hairs.

For some reason, saying 'bi / pan lesbians DNI' is not considered exclusionism, but I couldn't really give less of a shit.

ACHILLEAN VS SAPPHIC
There was drama on Twitter that sparked up a month or two ago about these terms, which had both been in use for years iirc. Lesbians, bisexual women, and other women who love women use 'sapphic' - derived from Sappho of Lesbos, an author known for her love poems directed at women - as an umbrella term for any woman who happens to like other women. Gay men didn't have an equivalent umbrella term, and adopted the term 'achillean', after Achilles and his relationship with Patroclus.

Lesbians started accusing people using the term 'achillean' of being 'actual rapist and pedophile defenders' because Achilles was an adult and Patroclus was a teenager in some retellings. Which means everyone using that term is pro-pedophilia. Also claimed the term was 'lesbophobic' for being a copy of 'their term'.

Then it was claimed that 'achillean' is violent towards bisexual people, because Achilles was bisexual and by claiming it as an mlm term it as erasing bisexual people... Even though the term was inclusive of bisexual men.

The aggressive Twitter lesbians conveniently forgot that Sappho, their lesbian idol, also wrote love poems to men (making her bisexual) and is theorized to have slept with her students and is no better than Achilles + 'achillean'.

'TOOTHPASTE'/'ACHILLEAN' FLAG
A colour-swapped version of the lesbian flag that was meant to represent gay men. Looks like a tube of crest toothpaste. Got shut down by aggressive Twitter lesbians claiming it was 'lesbophobic' for being a recolor of 'their flag', even though mlm people were reaching across the aisle and wanting to match flags.
1614672260207.png
1614673192323.png
Claimed to be heteronormative and misogynistic because 'clearly it's meant to be blue because 'blue is for boys!'' while ignoring the fact that the lesbian flag has pink for 'femininity'. Mistaken for the 'achillean' flag and falsely claimed to be a flag that signalled one as being 'pro-pedophile, pro-rape, and pro-biphobia' due to that... even though 'sapphic' could be argued to be the same. Fascinating.

1614676029116.png
1614676062163.png

the actual achillean flag | sapphic

It was later revealed that the original 'lipstick lesbian' flag, which the current flag is based off, was directly based on the old 'gay bear flag'. Of course, this was also swept under the rug. All flags reference each other in one way or another, but because its the gross gay men doing it, It's Bad Now.

1614673309946.png
1614673372322.png

bear flag | lesbian flag that was cancelled | current lesbian flag

Cue 16-year-olds using the 'toothpaste flag' being told that they're 'pro-pedophilia, rape-supporting biphobes' by 24-year-old lesbians on Twitter dot com.

If someone says 'achillean / gay man/toothpaste flags dni', it's because of this drama.

NEOGENDERS, XENOGENDERS, MOGAI
MOGAI = 'Marginalized Orientations, Gender Attractions and Identities/Intersex'. Originally intended to be a successor to 'LGBTQQIAAAPPP+" to stop people from getting into slapfights over the acronym.

Was co-opted by people who think that 'incel', 'straight tomboy', and 'fujoshi' are sexualites that make you LGBT.

1614737920173.png
1614738198461.png
1614738150986.png
1614738338013.png

these are among thousands of flags posted to this blog

Neogenders + xenogenders fall under the 'MOGAI' label - these are non-binary genders that are oftentimes specific to [self diagnosed] autistic people. They claim different things to be genders. "PupGender" "AlienGender" "KinGender", and even "AutiGender" 'a gender identity where autism plays a role'.

Some MOGAI people also claim that kinning is inherently LGBT, and there are MOGAI pride flags for certain kintypes.
1614745195866.png
1614745259941.png
1614745352326.png
1614745474614.png

"Welcome to our LGBT support meeting, today we have a new member! Go on, tell us a bit about yourself and your identity!"
"My sexual identity is Maned Wolf-Nagito Komaeda."

'ANTI-MOGAI DNI' means that if you don't think MOGAI genders are LGBT/'valid', then you're an ableist/transphobe/'exclus'.

"PRONOUN.XYZ" is a website where people, especially MOGAI people, put in their own 'custom pronouns'. Many of them are quite... distasteful, like a set of 'autistic pronouns' being 'flap/flaps/flapself', 'sti/stim/stmself', or 'stut/stutts/stutterself", or a set of 'ADHD' pronouns being 'hype/hypers/hyperself' and 'ina/inatts/inattentiveself'. Some of them are 'emoji pronouns' like 🦊/🦊s/🦊self, which is, beyond what has been said a dozen times, a big fuck you to anyone whose browser doesn't support your emojis.

1614742771125.png
1614742896635.png

'neopronouns'

Some are 'fandom based'. An example might be a Dawn Pokémon kinnie using "Dawn/Dawns/Dawnself", "Poff/Poffin/Poffinself", "Pip/Pips/Piplupself", or "Pachi/Pachis/Pachiriself" pronouns.

1614742814440.png
1614742846234.png
1614743040094.png

1614744103344.png
1614744161732.png

pokémon-based pronouns - 'cipher' is a team in one of the GameCube games.
the star and moon pronouns belong to someone who 'kins' the character Nebby, who is a starry moon bat Pokémon.

In Homestuck, different in-universe characters have different 'quirks' when they type. One character might replace all their 'E's and 'I's with '3's and '1's when they type. "Th3y typ3 l1k3 th1s". Another character might replace their 'S's with 'Z's and capitalize the last letter of every word. "theY typE likE thiZ". Some people, typically HS kinnies or DID fakers who like HS, will claim to have a typing quirk...

So they adopt their typing quirk into their pronouns.

1614729654976.png

emojiself pronouns
nounself pronouns
homestuck typing quirk pronouns
'hope' and 'despair are both themes present in DanganRonpa - it's safe to assume these are 'fandom pronouns'

SHIPPING STUFF
"ANTI-SHIPPER / PRO-SHIPPER / ANTI-ANTI" = shipping drama.
  • An anti-shipper thinks that shipping or writing something bad means you condone it in real life, and they'll frequently attack others instead of just blocking them if they post something they don't like. Will cancel you for shipping a 15 x 16 year old for 'pedophilia apologism'.
  • A pro-shipper defends people's rights to 'ship whatever you want, even if it's problematic, it's fiction.' Does not mean they ship these things themselves or are comfortable with it, but it means that they don't care if others do. Still, most likely to ship a 9 year old and a 25 year old.
  • An anti-anti thinks 'just don't harass people and send them death threats over ships'.
If someone is ANTI-[specific ship], then similar to K-Pop antis, they strongly dislike or are actively against it. Can either be due to general anti-ship reasons ['problematic ship!!!'] or due to general fandom shipping wars (Dawn x Ash is better than Dawn x Barry!!!) If a Pokémon fan is "anti-twinleafshipping", then that means they're against the pairing of Dawn x Barry.

These are seen in pretty much every 'DNI' list. Either no anti's or no pro-shippers.

Also commonly seen is FUJOSHI'S / FUDANSHI'S DNI.

FUJOSHSI
= girl who likes yaoi, male x male, or gay ships. Frequently are considered to be fetishizing gay people and a menace to gay men and are 'gross' and 'iredeemable parasites' due to this.
FUDANSHI = guy who likes yaoi, male x male, gay ships. "Do not interact with me if you're... a male who likes mlm" because how dare gay men look at other gay men and fetishize them!

90% of the time the people saying FUJOSHIS/FUDANSHIS FUCK OFF!!! are FtMs, cis gay people really don't care. Conveniently, none of these people care when men get off to yuri, fxf, or lesbian ships. It's all about protecting their uwu pwecious soft boys.

1614741832128.png

'basic dnfi stuff (homophobic[...]) [...] you are fujoshi/fudanshi"
because shaming gay men for looking at mlm media isn't at all homophobic in their eyes

SELF-SHIPPING.
Self-shipping is effectively the lovechild between kinning and shipping.

It's basically saying "Oh, Lusamine from Pokémon? She's actually my wife. She's actually dating me." It's a step up from just finding a character 'hot' or reading visual novels/dating sims, and a step up from just shipping your OC with them. These people legitimately think that such-and-such character has the hots for them and only them.

FICTO / FICTOSEXUAL = 'i'm only attracted to fictional characters'. Some people try and argue that fictosexual is on the asexual spectrum, and therefore liking fictional characters makes you LGBT.

F/O / FICTIONAL OTHER = normal people use 'signifcant other' for their partners, these people use 'fictional other'.

SHARING = people will frequently claim a character as 'their own'. "Lyandre is my husband, do not reblog my Lysandre art if you also ship with Lysandre! Lysandre is mine and I don't share!"

Some self-shippers also take shipping 'their F/O' with other characters as an attack on themselves.

1614669147674.png
1614669177097.png

IREDEEMABLE MEDIA
Many Carrd users think that if you consume 'the bad media' that you condone everything to do with the bad media. 'If something makes an ableist or homophobic joke then it means that you, the viewer, agree with that and hate disabled and gay people.'

People forget that most media has problematic elements in it. Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad to Crash Bandicoot and Pokémon, all of these things are 'problematic' in some way, but they single out these specific ones for.... who fuckin' knows why.
  • Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss
    • A gay trans pornstar drug addict is a demon in hell, the latina lesbian character is characterized super aggressive, etc. Which clearly means that anyone who has ever watched HH thinks that all gay people, trans people, pornstars, and drug addicts should go to hell, and that the creators are racist and lesbophobic.
      • With the latina lesbian character, they conveniently ignore the fact that VivziePop is a latina bisexual woman.
        • The same lesbians claiming that the aggressive lesbian stereotype is offensive are the same ones who were calling 'achillean' 16-year-olds 'pedophile rape apologists who should kill themselves' over some stripes. Just saying.
  • Steven Universe
    • Handled some POC + butch lesbian characters poorly, now one cannot watch the show without being racist lesbophobes themselves.
  • Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin
    • There's references to WW2 and Nazism in it, the creator is a Japanese imperialist(?). Therefore if you like Attack on Titan you actively support Nazis and genocide.
  • Hetalia
    • Same as above. Nazis in my anime? Okay Nazi supporter.
  • Killing Stalking
    • Violent anime with torture and abuse = you support torture and violence and abusive relationships in real life, you abuse apologist!
  • South Park, Camp Camp, Family Guy, Clone High, Rick and Morty, etc.
    • Raunchy offensive humor = clearly you agree with everything being said you gross racist homophobe.
  • Riverdale, Big Mouth
    • Above + minors Have Sex which means anyone who watches it is pro-pedophilia because teenagers never have sex ever guys
  • Homestuck, Hiveswap
    • Hussie is a racist cuck, therefore Homestuck fans are all racist bigots!!!
  • Harry Potter
    • J.K Rowling TERF + the... house elves? being Jewish allegories = anyone who has read or enjoys the books are transphobic Nazi white-supremacist.
Of course - do I agree with blocking someone because they watched Attack on Titan 5 years ago when they were 15? Fuck no lol grow up

"I CONSUME MY INTERESTS CRITICALLY"= 'I can't enjoy any media because I spend the whole time talking about how problematic my favourite shows are and beating myself up for enjoying this thing to make up for the fact that I like such an awful, awful show!" aka Steven Universe fan who doesn't want to admit to just being a fan.

KINNING STUFF.
Generally, kinning in these communities is less "I am the reborn spirit of a fox... I am foxkin..." and more "I'M LITERALLY KARKAT FROM HOMESTUCK REBORN NO DOUBLES"

KINNING = some people use 'kinning' as a 'just for fun' thing and don't actually think they're said character, but many people do use it with no sense of irony.
FICTIONKIN = someone who kins a fictional character
KIN MEMORIES = "kin memories are basically something from your senses that originated from the life of your kintype." stolen definition from some kin blog.
NO DOUBLES = "I won't talk to you if you kin this character who I also kin. I'm the only X of this character and you're fake."
SELFHOOD / ID = "I literally am this character, I don't just 'kin' this character I AM this character". Often paired with 'no doubles'.
PRIMARY / SECONDARY / TERTIARY = how 'strong' that kin is to someone

Sometimes kinnies will get defensive of the character they kin, which is why they claim 'no doubles'. They'll oftentimes refer to a character as themselves, and may claim that photos of their 'kin' are photos of themselves. I've seen people be chewed out by others for having their profile picture be of one's kin, because "that's weird! That's me! Dawn Pokémon is me! Why do you have a picture of me as your avatar?"

1614744407550.png

"my me [?] is kagami kuro. not putting a kuro pic on here
cuz ppl who put selfies on their carrds r weirdos"

Kinnies may also refuse to follow fan accounts or roleplay accounts of their character, because 'you're roleplaying me and it's distressing'

1614745896815.png

avoiding the problem doesn't fix the problem, it only makes you more averse to it buddy

Fictionkin is a form of 'otherkin', though some fictionkin refuse to accept this fact and tell otherkin to fuck off, despite being otherkin themselves.

1614744708334.png

"do not follow if
-you're from school
- you're doubles with [kin]
- you're otherkin"

FACTKINNING
Fictionkin is kinning a fictional character, factualkin / factkinning is kinning a real person. Commonly seen with YouTuber stans, such as "I AM Dream" or "I'm Markiplier kin". Generally frowned upon by kin communities. Factkin will often claim that they're 'canon divergent', e.g if Dream... I dunno, says a slur on stream, then the factkin will say "well in my memories I never said a slur, so I'm timeline-divergent".

'Factkin' is frequently misused by people who don't like factkin. "I'm actually Dawn from Pokémon and if you kin Dawn you're actually factkinning me and you're fucking disgusting. FACTKIN DO NOT INTERACT YOU'RE FUCKING GROSS."

DELUSIONAL ATTACHMENT
'Psychosis kinning'
. Most people who kin know that they're not actually the character, but people with delusional attachments refuse to admit that. "I'm actually Dawn Pokémon, this is legitimately me, and if you refuse to support that then I'll block you." I have seen some people with DA's claim that "It's scary how accurate this character is, the writers had to have been watching me and stalking me and wrote this character based on me therefore I am this character", completely self-aware and unironic.

Oftentimes faked by people so they can claim DAs and be 'more valid' than other people who kin. It's frequently combined with factkinning as a way to justify 'being someone'.

1614687462589.png

FICTIVE = DID kinning, basically. It's like an 'alter' but your alter is Naruto and yes, 98% of the time it's faked and forced.

1614684333632.png

DNI IF YOU LIKE Z CHARACTER
This is often related to kinning. 'User kins X character, Z character was mean to X character in canon, therefore everyone who likes Z character hates X character! And because User kins X character, clearly that means that they're hated by people who like Z!'

1614674404428.png

"I kin Dawn, and Paul in canon was mean to Dawn, so don't talk to me if you like Paul!"

Some people refuse to use these terms to describe their kins, and insist 'These arent kins or delusional attachments!!! these are me!! I am these characters!! This is my IDENTITY ACTUALLY' because not using these terms makes you 'more valid' or... some shit. I don't know it's just a big validity dick measuring contest. There are some Carrds where people say "these aren't kins these are literally me", I'll have to dig for them, tamer examples below.

1614675315451.png
1614682677807.png
1614741942573.png
1614743987033.png

OTHER STUFF
TONE INDICATORS.
  • Tone indicators are added to the end of posts to mean different things. Made for autistics. Some people use them, some people don't use them because it feels belittling. Google for a full list of them, but you know how some people on reddit and the like would add /sneed to the end of sarcastic comments? It's like that only with 30 of these things. /ly for lyrics, /neg for negative stuff, /srs for serious stuff, /pos for positive stuff. People get fucking serious about these things and will cuss others out for misusing them.
1614745733960.png

you're supposed to remember all of this, and if you don't use them then you're an ableist autism-hating shitlord, according to Twitter

Great post. I'd just like to add a lot of people use Delusional Attatchments to factkin, as it's less frowned upon. Factkinning is generally frowned upon but having a delusional attatchment that makes you think you're a minecraft youtuber is ok according to twitter nutjobs

Yo thanks. Never realised DA's would be used to make factkins more valid - I'm more familiar with the "this fictional character who appeared in the background once and has to lines of dialogue is LITERALLY ME" and "this fictional character with a super specific tragic backstory who is extremely popular in my fandom is LITERALLY ME" types of DA's that use it as an excuse to bully people for disagreeing with their kintype or whatever. The self-aware types that get defensive over people kinning or roleplaying because 'THAT'S LITERALLY ACTING LIKE ME'. (Avoidance doesn't make things better, buddy.)

Once I wake up and remember to check KF I'll add the bit about DAs + factkinning to the post.

There's a lot of overlap between Carrd, [self] shipping, and kinning communities. Going to sit down and explain some commonly found terms - and why they're used - so people in this thread aren't lost, assuming this thread picks up. I'm not defending this shit, it's all fucking stupid, I'm just here to give the context. I'm not familiar with the KPop side of things so I won't be touching upon terms specific to KPop carrds.

I have zero clue why these spoilers are doubling up on my end, I'll try and fix it when I wake up.

There was drama on Twitter that sparked up a month or two ago about these terms, which had been in use for years iirc.

Fascinating.

the actual achillean flag | sapphic

It was later revealed that the original 'lipstick lesbian' flag, which the current flag is based off, was directly based on the old 'gay bear flag'. Of course, this was also swept under the rug. All flags reference each other in one way or another, but because its the gross gay men doing it, It's Bad Now.

bear flag | lesbian flag that was cancelled | current lesbian flag

Cue 16-year-olds using the 'toothpaste flag' being told that they're 'pro-pedophilia, rape-supporting biphobes' by 24-year-old lesbians on Twitter dot com.

If someone says 'achillean / gay man/toothpaste flags dni', it's because of this drama.

These are seen in pretty much every 'DNI' list. Either no anti's or no pro-shippers.

FUJOSHSI = girl who likes yaoi, male x male, or gay ships. Frequently are considered to be fetishizing gay people and a menace to gay men and are 'gross' and 'iredeemable parasites' due to this.
FUDANSHI = guy who likes yaoi, male x male, gay ships. "Do not interact with me if you're a male who likes mlm"

IREDEEMABLE MEDIA
Many Carrd users think that if you consume 'the bad media' that you condone everything to do with the bad media. 'If something makes an ableist or homophobic joke then it means that you, the viewer, agree with that and hate disabled and gay people.' People forget that most media has problematic elements in it.
    • Handled some POC characters poorly, now one cannot watch the show without being racist themselves.

Generally kinning in these communities is less "I am the reborn spirit of a fox... I am foxkin..." and more "I'M LITERALLY KARKAT FROM HOMESTUCK REBORN NO DOUBLES"

NO DOUBLES = "I won't talk to you if you kin this character who I also kin. I'm the only X of this character and you're fake."

FACTKINNING = you 'kin' a real person. Commonly seen with YouTuber stans, such as "I kin Dream" or "I'm Markiplier kin". Generally frowned upon by kin communities.

Oftentimes is misused. "I'm actually Dawn from Pokémon and if you kin Dawn you're actually factkinning me and you're fucking disgusting. FACTIKIN DO NOT INTERACT YOU'RE FUCKING GROSS"

SELFHOOD / ID = "I literally am this character, I don't just 'kin' this character I AM this character". Often paired with 'no doubles'.

PRIMARY / SECONDARY / TERTIARY = how 'strong' that kin is to someone

DELUSIONAL ATTACHMENT = 'Psychosis kinning'.

FICTIVE = DID kinning, basically. It's like an 'alter' but your alter is Naruto and yes, 98% of the time it's faked and forced.

DNI IF YOU LIKE Z CHARACTER is often related to kinning. 'User kins X character, Z character was mean to X character in canon, therefore everyone who likes Z character hates X character! And because User kins X character, clearly that means that they're hated by people who like Z!' "I kin Dawn, and Paul in canon was mean to Dawn, so don't talk to me if you like Paul!"
View attachment 1962692

Some people refuse to use these terms and insist 'These arent kins or delusional attachments!!! these are me!! I am these characters!! This is my IDENTITY ACTUALLY' because not using these terms makes you 'more valid' or... some shit. I don't know it's just a big validity dick measuring contest

SELF-SHIPPING TERMS.
Self-shipping is basically saying "Oh, Lusamine from Pokémon? She's actually my wife. She's actually dating me." It's a step up from just finding a character 'hot', and a step up from just shipping your OC with them. These people legitimately think that such-and-such character has the hots for them and only them.

F/O / FICTIONAL OTHER = normal people use 'signifcant other' for their partners, these people use 'fictional other'.

SHARING - people will frequently claim a character as 'their own'. "Lyandre is my husband, do not reblog my Lysandre art if you also ship with Lysandre! Lysandre is mine and I don't share!"

Some self-shippers also take shipping 'their F/O' with other characters as an attack on themselves.

If there's shit randomly missing it's because I'm fucking tired and wanted to get this out before I fell asleep. If there's anything that needs to be explained tag me. Again, I don't agree with all of this, but I'm just laying it out to give full context to the stuff on Carrds. I've got more shit I can post tomorrow.

this is great. i've never understood the tumblrina trend of people actually thinking they're characters. something maybe to add is how spergy people get when an evil whitey tries to identify as a character from a minority race - eg. white person identifying with some anime waifu, because it's racist/cultural appropriation!!! but when minority races identify as white characters, that's fine.

i can probably help out with kpop terms, though i don't really see too many of them on carrds. if you see a long string of words that don't make sense nor belong to eachother (eg. once, forever, wiz*one, blink) they're just fandom names of the groups. ult = ultimate fave group, bias = fave member(s), bias-wrecker = second favourite member(s)... i can't really think of more. the kpop bits tend to be the lesser autistic parts in people's cards, before they go on to sperg about what you've listed here already :story:

There's a lot of overlap between Carrd, [self] shipping, and kinning communities. Going to sit down and explain some commonly found terms - and why they're used - so people in this thread aren't lost, assuming this thread picks up. I'm not defending this shit, it's all fucking stupid, I'm just here to give the context. I'm not familiar with the KPop side of things so I won't be touching upon terms specific to KPop carrds.

I have zero clue why these spoilers are doubling up on my end, I'll try and fix it when I wake up.

GENDER + SEXUALITY STUFF
"NO PRONOUNS IN BIO"
= they think you're transphobic if you don't have your pronouns in your bio either because 'gender =/= pronouns' or because 'it means you don't show solidarity with trans ppl'
"PRONOUN.XYZ" = website where people put in their own 'custom pronouns'.

MLM = man who loves men
WLW = woman who loves women
NBLNB = nonbinary who loves nonbinary
can be mixed and matched, e.g NBLM.

One thing I disagree with, though, is Big Mouth (Not Riverdale, I think you described that one fine) just being a show about teens having sex. I feel it goes deeper than that and it boredrlines on creepy at times.

The Anti vs. Proship autism manifests so hilariously with twitter's userbase. Both sides are batshit insane, it's fun to watch.

But generally a carrd in a person's bio is a bigger red flag than pronouns in bio.

Also I don't understand the DNI thing anyway, are these people really so self-absorbed that they believe every twitter rando is going to check OP's profile before liking or retweeting? :lit:

Okay, the whole "NPC" meme is a little overplayed at times... but do they make these people in a factory somewhere?

They have to. It's the only explanation.
Yes. Technically No, but these people all have similar starting points from what I can tell.

  1. Grew up with some lack of proper parental/guardian care/etc., leading to attention seeking behaviors, which lead to lack of proper social interaction and a deep need for validation, even if it requires you to lie or to erase your own believes.
  2. In erasing their own beliefs and adopting so many others, ‘their’ beliefs will become hyper-charged due to wanting this sense of fulfillment they sorely lacked, leading to them becoming more radical then the last, leading to the cycle we see today.
  3. Denied of most sorts of interaction (only further exacerbated by this new them) this also leads to them not understanding what is socially acceptable or even logically sound, making people cope (not in the seething way) with their mental instability and perceived isolation by adopting labels from gods to literal animals.
  4. And it all continues in this was, in a loop, 1-3, tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down.

I’m pretty sure claiming that you’re delusional is a good indicator that you’re not delusional, just a garden variety tard.

It’s been fucking wild watching teenagers on the internet get progressively weirder since my own teenage years.
I wonder how our forefathers for us Americans must feel. Besides the culture being unrecognizable, how do you think they‘d feel that they had millions upon millions of people living in a proud new world they founded, fighting and bleeding for close to 300 years... then it finally lands where we are today with an anorexic alien-gendered self identifying pooch on a social ‘mailing’ site, being genuinely upset that people didn’t refer to him by “Woof/Ruff” pronouns.

Back
