Carson King / CallMeCarson / CallMeCarsonYT - Minecraft YouTuber, trades nudes with underage fans

19 and 17 year olds are basically the same level of maturity, especially in current year where nobody gets a car or moves out of their parent's until like their mid 20's or later. Age of consent should probably moved to 21, I don't feel like anybody has a real grip on their life or what they want to do until then anyway. I'm 25 and I think other dudes my age going after 18 and 19 year olds are fucking weird and infantile.

Also, 17 is too old for most Minecraft youtubers. Those motherfuckers don't like ages that aren't on the clock so I think Carson is alright unless even younger people come out which will probably happen today if it's gonna happen.

It was a matter of time. A 17 year old dating a 19 year old is fine in most jurisdictions but the nudes are technically still cheese pizza. Bad look for a youtuber but a non issue for anyone else.
Why internet famous people try to fuck their followers is beyond me, especially when minors are involved. Find literally any other woman to park your dick in. Never, ever, fuck a fan. This isn't the 1970's where a rock star could get away with fucking some groupies in a drug fueled haze backstage. Every single one of these "youtuber grooms minor" stories is always about one of these bottomfeeders going after one of their most gullable fans.
Every time they do this the girls (or furry fudgepackers for gays like pyro) keep receipts and eventually go on Twitter to cry about being groomed. You'd think after the first dozen or so youtubers that've gotten caught they'd have wised up by now.

This puritan moral panic has to stop. My wife is three years older than I am. Was I groomed into an abusive relationship? Something tells me no.

It's so fucking bizarre that everyone nowadays has to prove they are so NOT A PEDO that they fucking demolish anyone that remotely shows interest in anyone younger than they are.

That's not even the worst part, look at that banner

Another Lunchclub member confirming what the others said about him admitting it on call and claiming he reported it to the FBI:

This better not be the reaction to someone learning a 19 year old is sexting with a 17 year old. Because if it is it's a massive overreaction. if you tried to report to the FBI that a 19 year old was grooming a 17 year old they would laugh at you.

Having a relationship 2 years apart is not odd. Sending nudes at 17 technically illegal and stupid but also probably very common these days.

This is what's weird.

Archive of his games list: https://archive.md/ztamB

Why does Carson have 107 hours in a text-based game about a Hungarian 14-year-old girl being raped and impregnated?
Its common nowadays for people to purchase games and leave them on as a visual gag for friends lists. So he could have left it running just so it showed him "being pregnant" on Steam.

From all these recent tame dramas, I wish people would stop using the term "victim" so freely. They obviously took part in some capacity through their own volition and it's not like most of them regret their actions, just playing it up for attention and big boy internet points.

Why 21? Why not 25? Are you sure that people aren't ready until they're 30? This American puritanical attitude about alot of shit is honestly brain dead, if you educate children well enough and make sure parents talk to them about it then there's no issue with the AoC being in the 16-18 range (which is when people reach sexual maturity anyways), and even if you did raise it to 21 you'd just be criminalising people for absolutely no good reason plus you really think people would take any notice? Hell even in Denmark where the AoC is 15 you still get people ignoring it 21 is just absolutely unenforceable. Plus if you're old enough to die in a war you're old enough to had sex.

Edit: just reread the quoted post, ignore my autism I read too far into one section of it while ignoring the rest

I don't believe for a second that anyone is actually upset about this or considers it actual grooming. Twitter is just feigning outrage because they want to cancel somebody.

The Mob hungers. The Mob must feed.

Convenient how everybody talking about 17yos with 19yos is ignoring the power dynamic somebody like a big youtuber has over a fan. Nobody is arguing over that specific part, but if you look in the DMs he's incredibly aggressive with getting nudes from uncomfortable underage girls who are interesting in him clearly, but don't feel comfortable. There's no way currently to tell if he's broken the law but based on the phonecall he had in March with lunchclub members, it would imply he did but ultimately that's not something I can decide or know, let alone judge him for.
That's where the problem lies, did the girl feel uncomfortable and why? It's cause the DMs are creepy, he's forceful and he's attempting to use his influence to get nudes out of an underage girl. You as somebody with a big following, should in no way ever be asking an underage girl repeatedly for nudes. That's not normal behavior when you get denied repeatedly. He was evidently trying to use his status to get those pics. Personally, I wouldn't use terms like "groom", but I do strongly believe there was an abuse of power here and Carson is full in the wrong if these allegations are true.

The acceptable age gap has narrowed considerably since the mid 20th century. Both my folks and the in-laws have 10 year age gaps between the spouses. That kind of gap was seen as normal even as recently as the 90's.

My tinfoil conspiracy is that this is a ploy by Big Feminism to scare men into dating older and older women. Don't want to be a pedo? Then date the cat lady.

that's creepy but we can't call everyone who's creepy a pedo/groomer. those are big bad words that mean a very very bad thing. this is not that.
