Carson always seemed like a creepy dude to me. heprobablyDEFINITELY smells like cheese and BO.
oh god
on a more serious note, this thread seems to have devolved into people arguing the legality of the situation. i don't think this is the issue here. as everyone has pointed out a trillion times, 19 and 17 isn't a big age gap, 17 year old nudes are still, women have the mental capacity to make their own decisions, don't fuck your fans, yadda yadda. everyone is just parrotting what has already been said.
the main issue imo is the morality of carson pressuring an underage fan to send him nudes. is it morally right for him to have done this? i personally don't think so. i also don't think this warrants being thrown in jail or taken off the platform, either.
the thing that perplexes me is why this broke up the lunch club. it doesn't seem like a huge deal to me, at least not enough to warrant slime flat out leaving lunch club. i feel like we're missing something here.
The ages are irrelevant really, and as such it becomes a question of whether using fame to illicit nudes is okay?
Like how did he pressure her, did he just ask? If so, who cares. As long as what he did doesnt rise to the level of coercive behaviour - who fucking cares?!
So either there is more to this, or there are a bunch of people who want to ruin this guy by making a legal issue of a horny teenager sexting with a girl who is practically his age.
As for the CP angle, come the fuck on. Clearly, people of that age will send nudes to each other. What are all the people below 18 who do that all child pornographers? Are you on smack? The law may technically be there, but there is zero public interest in prosecuting such a case. It will destroy a life and for what exactly?
Actual fully fledged adults who are taking Carson to town on this need to seriously question why a few shekels are worth ruining someone who is basically a child for absolutely nothing.
