Cartoon Industry thread - Showcasing the Spergery of the Animation Industry

We were watching vintage cartoons and there was this Felix the Cat where he got brainwashed into being a baby. My littlest was immediately creeped out, but maybe he was picking up on my vibes when I got up and turned it off. Old as fuck cartoon and here it was, just lingering a little toooooo long on the idea of being a baby. There was an episode of the modern Spidey and friends where everyone gets turned into a baby too! What gives! At least that one just focused on wrecking shit and causing problems for others rather than on being swaddled and in bed. Creepy creepy creepy.

That video of EZPZ has age disturbing well, and all the people who have ever doubted the accusations have only looked like complete and utter fools.
This video definitely goes with a big grain of salt though. Note the complete lack of mention of ESG funding.
A lot of what is said I 100% believe but at the end of the day it's only one person's side of the story.

If I had to guess, ESG didn't become a factor until 2017/18 at the earliest and when Covid hit at the latest. Early examples like the gay stuff in Jailbreak or Korra were most likely women with an agenda going gung-ho, while given a few years with anti-Trump propoganda at an all time high, and #MeToo and feminism/LGBT instrustion throwing a wrench into both Hollywood and Bank funding, it would make more sense.

That, and barely anyone knew about ESG until the Culture War channels came along.

Modern SpongeBob is overall worse than season 6-8. Not sure why a lot of cartoon spergs think otherwise.
The dudes who crapped on Seasons 4-8 growing up went to College, got jobs in the animation industry, or know people who got said jobs, and thus have that added element of moral superiority. Regardless, pretty much everyone is still in agreement that Seasons 1-3 are the best ones.

(That, and Hillenburg briefly came back to the series before his passing.)

I wonder how the voice acting Union would feel if someone informed them that Billy West and his friend Marzgurl were openly sharing posts on Twitter from the website Democratic Underground. A site that openly supports Hamas terrorism and celebrated Donald Trump's assassination attempt. Same Billy west who threw Tara strong under the bus for being pro-Israel.

Bombing children and raping women is fucked, but Israel isn't magically "good" just because some cunts bombed their children and raped their women. Plenty of people are sick of Israel boarding-school-bullying the free world because they're butthurt that they don't have as much oil as their neighbours, without also supporting Hamas. Billy West might be a bleeding-heart liberal who is generally opposed to theocratic ethnostates, and is surely too much of a pussy and not famous enough to be a danger to anyone with this opinion.

For Korra, the creators are men and almost every single episode was written or produced by a man. But they were also obsessed with interacting with fans on Tumblr at the time--the creators in particular. Without giving too much away, I personally interacted with some staff members of Korra in private messages and nothing weird ever happened (I was an adult at the time).

Korra and Asami was not supposed to happen and it was not even conceived until somewhere in the middle of writing the final season. It was a popular ship on Tumblr exclusively, places like Reddit (outside of the korrasami subreddit) were more into the idea of Korra getting back with Mako or ending up with no one. The final season was written in a way where Korra and Asami seem to become friends instead of being at each other's throat over Mako for the past 3 seasons. The relationship was never confirmed in the show either, it was in a Tumblr post from the creators after the finale.

However, the creators are currently insufferable as of 2024 and addicted to white knighting and DEI. Long time fans are pissed how they called the original voice actors for Avatar and Korra a mistake because of the color of their skin. Only the voice actor for Zuko is allowed to continue to voice Zuko, all the other original Avatar and Korra voice actors are not allowed to voice their characters in any new properties as deemed by the creators.

What a bunch of assholes. No wonder The Dragon Prince turned out the way it did.

Bryke where the ones who backstabbed the OG VAs iirc, idk if the dragon prince crowd also jumped the "VAs must be the same race as their characters" bandwagon
Dragon Prince is by Aaron Ehasz, who worked on Avatar as a writer (but not Korra). He wouldn't have been around for the Bryke's evolution into white knight DEI champions.

It doesn't look like race was considered that much for casting The Dragon Prince VAs. They cast black actors for black characters and cast a half-black girl as Ezran (who is half-black in the show), but pretty much everyone else is a white VA even if the character is light brown or possibly fantasy Asian.

Ezran is voiced by a girl because the showrunners knew the show would take years to finish and it's easier having a girl VA instead of recasting every time a boy goes through puberty. The show is garbage anymore and I wouldn't be shocked if they retconned their explanation and claimed Ezran was actually Ezrelle until he found his true self at the age of 4.

What was EZPZ right about exactly? I'm not going to rewatch that video because I hate how he talks.
I think he was right about the industry being filled with degenerates and favoritism but about kyle carroza he said that he got fired for being white, which knowing what we do now was probably not the case. However I don't know if whoever fired him knew about the CP in his computer and if they did knew why didn't got known until now. I don't know of I knew a coworker had child pornography in their computer I would immediately contact the authorities

If the theory about EZPZ's source being Luke Webber is true, the worst case scenario could be that he intentionally kept shut because both of them are pedos
