This woman is the prime example of why you never give these people anything. They'll always want more.

You can give them an entire show about lesbian little girls for multiple seasons but if you snub them on one extra season they'll hold a lifelong grudge and swear vengeance on you forever. They will make an entire multi-year indie ego project just to seethe at you.

I'm genuinely curious as to what the viewer demographics were for Owl House. I doubt actual children made up more than like a third of it, and looking at the fanbase I'd say the rest were just grown ass sapphics and coomers.

Mainly gendie teenagers, cartoon reviewers and tumblr users from what I’ve seen. Barely knew anyone who actually watched the show , no offense but that’s probably bc the pandemic was happening when the show aired

But that’s also probably bc the time the series was airing, many people I knew who watched the Disney channel just started highschool

Mina was basically muh racism as a character never mind the fact that magic was the key thing that kept the Mewnis out of trouble with the monsters (which are naturally gifted with strength) and a requirement for so many creatures to live.

Who knew getting rid of magic leads to genocide and utter disarmament (usually its the other way around). Nice writing, Nefcy. You made a magical girl show where the magical girl is a genocidal monster who doomed her own people and Earth at the same time and you know she's proud of this because she shown the aftermath of the magical creature genocide.

Hilariously, the indie project is a trashfire. People are interested in the mockery of the mouse with it, but its mired in so much drama. As for Owl house... considering how hard gay that show is, probably teenagers and genderspecials. Thankfully around this time, people were already switching to the net for their entertainment.

Owl House isn't as celebrated as Gravity Falls but it does have its (rabid) fanbase.

I think Besides that and Dana being well Dana. I think it’s just how spergy the Audience for the series already is and claiming that this series is “Le deep actually” and it’s barely just the pilot.

We’re gonna reach voltron levels of toxicity with this one.

McCraken understands cartoons are meant to be cartoons to be enjoyed by the audience and not "acts of self expression"/therapy for the creators.

What's funny is Wander Over Yonder was fucking touchy-feely educational woke therapy crap all over the place! It just also had good writing and really good drawings.

Wander Over Yonder also had a bad guy who was allowed to be a bad guy, who had a whole song about being the bad guy, and spelled it out multiple times that she was not some misunderstood bean who just needed a hug and a good conversation with someone nice.
